Hi there!

I've been searching through your PJ's & TR's & it has been getting me so excited for my own wedding!! I can't believe how amazing some of your ideas & dresses & decorations are!:goodvibes

...Only thing is, is it too early to start planning & getting excited? We are not planning to wed until late 2011/2012, due to financial issues. But we are planning a WDW wedding & I feel like there is so much to choose from!

Am I lame to start planning so early or should I wait until we get a little closer to the date? :confused3

How early in advance did you guys start your planning?

Its ok to start planning, just dont BUY anything yet! Ive been planning forever and I keep changing my mind! (and our budget keeps getting smaller, lol)

I think part of the fun is gathering all the info and picking what you want!

Our budget keeps getting smaller too :( We definitely can't buy anything yet....unless a great deal on an amazing dress come around. My mom keeps telling me not to start planning yet because it's way too early, but I think it might be wise to start figuring out our budget so my DF & I know how much to start saving.

I think it's mostly my mom making me feel silly for wanting to start planning out the details.....although she is also hoping we will change our minds and opt for a home wedding at her dreaded golf club :scared: ....not our scene at all :snooty:

When are you guys planning to tie the knot?

It's always a good idea to know what you want when the time comes. Why not look at things and figure out things you like and don't like? It can't hurt as long as you aren't purchasing things!

lol, my fam is doing this too! We were planning to get married much sooner, but then I got accepted into nursing school which pushed our date out and cut our income from 2 incomes to 1 for a while. So we are lookng at an Escape package in either may of 2010 or oct 2010, we havent been able to nail down a date yet!

We are not at all interested in a traditional at home wedding. Not our cup of tea!

Have you guys picked a date? Are you doing wishes or escape?

We were originally looking at mid December 2010, but my DF got laid off & we are down to one income income he finds a new job. He is also in school part time. Now we are looking at either mid December 2011 or mid December 2012.

We are either doing a WDW Escape or a Swan/Dolphin. I was reading a PJ of someone on here who did a Swan/Dolphin wedding & we are intrigued at the prices & what it has to offer. We also LOVE the Boardwalk area. It will just be family & close friends.

My mom is harassing us to get married at her awful snooty golf club  My DF & I are a couple of hippie kids:hippie: & I'm not even good at miniature golf, much less regular golf! They would offer to pay for the whole thing, but I want our wedding to be about US, not about a show for my parents.

We are simple folks & we don't need much. Our only criteria for our wedding really is just to be on WDW property & outside.

The planning is all a part of the fun...the longer you can drag it out the better :) I am planning my Escape Wedding for September 2010, and love the fact that it gives me lots of time to change my mind over and over and over again about the small details...plus it gives me just enough time to save the $$ for it (unless our dollar keeps declining, then it looks like my line of credit will take a hit - lol). The imporant thing is that you do what means the most to you guys...I feel the same way about the traditional "church or golf club wedding" - it's just not me! So stick to your guns and take your time till you get it just right :)

Thanks! MikaBoo [our puppy] sends puppy snuggles to you!

I can definitely agree that dragging out the planning is fun! There's more time for details that way!
And say no to snooty golf clubs! :scared:

I'm planning a March 2011 wedding, and I think there are a few other disbrides here who are around the same time. There's nothing wrong with planning early, think about it, there are some brides to be who have been planning their weddings since they were little girls!! I'm starting to regret that I have never really thought about a wedding before I got engaged, because some times I really feel like I'm in over my head!

*What?!? You mean there are different types of veils!?!*

I agree im hoping for December 2010 -I've started planning, as there is a lot take in. I was never one of these little girls that sat and dreamt about her wedding either so I don't know a lot of begin with!:lmao:

I thought just reading other girls PJ and TR was a great start for a WDW wedding :)

You can start planning now. I was engaged for a year and a half. It was GREAT!! I was able to buy spread out buying things for my wedding. It was easier to get things in small quanities and just store them away until needed. By the time the wedding came around, I wasn't stressed at all.

Ok, you guys talked me into it!!:goodvibes

I'm not really in a rush for us to tie the knot, we live together already & are basically married ;) but the planning seems so fun & there seems like so much to think about! I'd rather just take my time to look through everything.:)

It's never too early to plan!!!!

My wedding is 2011, and I've already got most of my ideas sorted, sent out save the dates and am looking at dresses! I want to get as much sorted as early as possible as I dont want next year to get hectic, if I leave anything to the last minute I panic!!

you are definitely NOT too early to plan. I feel the earlier, the better. I've been planning since 2006 and I'm only getting married in 2010 (mind you I've had to move my wedding date on several occasions).

I would not buy anything yet. Things change every year so what is in now may not be in by the time your wedding comes along.

You will most likely change your mind on a ton of things like colors, flowers and BM dresses. Then again you may not.

Just have fun looking at bridal magazines and reading PJ and TRs on here and make a little folder of things you see and like.
