We are looking into the option of renting a car at MCO and dropping off at the Radisson before the cruise, then renting again at the Radisson after the cruise. We have three small kids, one who is a baby and are wondering how time consuming is it? We would plan on DH dropping me and the kids off at the port with the luggage and he would return the car. Are there any luggage personal who would be able to help me with our luggage at the port once we are dropped off? What is the time frame of going to the Radisson and picking up a car after the cruise? My DH would place the kids and myself at a corner of the terminal while he go rent the car. We would really consider this if it was hassle free and not too time consuming.

Hows the rush to get cars once everyone gets off the ship? What's the best way to do this? Wait till the end or be the 1st off the ship?

I had the same idea - but when I checked out the cost difference between keeping the car and just using the raddison for parking vs checking in and out again -- it cost more. I'm only on a four day cruise & wanted to keep the car for eight days after the cruise -- so that may be the reason why the costs didn't favor me. Also I think "one-way" rental rates are higher. -- anyway, if you haven't run both scenerios on the avis site -- I'd try it before I made a final decision. -- also checkout the discount codes floating around the site -- I saved about $100 and chose a bigger car than what I originally intended to rent. Good luck & have fun planning. KW

Renting and returning a car, as opposed to taking a limo or town car, would add 30 - 45 minutes to your trip time.

When your DH drops you off he will also drop the luggage with porters at curbside. Once the porters take your luggage (before your DH even drives away), you'll be done with your luggage until it's delivered to your stateroom. Very easy.
