your own pushchair while you go on the rides? I have been reading about the hire ones going missing after you have come of the ride. I was just wondering if anyone has had their own pushchair go missing?

I've been a reader of these forums for a few years and I can only remember one story of a pushchair being stolen. If I remember correctly, the Dis member found someone heading towards the train station with their pushchair and managed to get it back.

I think it's a rare occurrence. That said: I certainly wouldn't take an expensive pushchair and wouldn't leave any valuables in it when left unattended.

We left our pushchair loads when we went on rides , just dont leave anything of any value on the pushchair itself.

i have heard of a buggy being stolen twice. i take my mclaren, its pink and grey so i let it get a bit dingy looking before i take it lol. normally i give it a wash every few weeks or so as it does get dirty quite easily. then i stand it next to buggies that look way more expensive than my dirty mclaren and hope for the best.

I do the same when parking my car!

I feel like its safe. They have a 'parking area' so the problem isn't that the strollers go missing but rather that they get moved to a different 'parking spot'

There is a Cast Member there keeping the stroller 'parking lot' tidy so he/she moves them as needed.

Most of the time you will park it then walk around the area to go on different rides and shows. They have a Cast Member that shows you the stopping point for strollers. Strollers can not go past certain points.

Hope that helps!

I once read a tip on here that someone left a nappy in a nappy sack tied to the handle as an 'insurance policy' :rotfl2:

Oh my goodness, look at all those pushchairs on those pictures! :scared1:

Do they let you chain the pushchairs up?

Thanks for all your replies.

The one i'll be taking is my cheaper pushchair. Saying that though it still cost me £100 and has only been used twice... so I still don't want anyone walking off with it. I think i'm going to get a lock for it...I was looking in argos and they have a cheap one. I think i'll just deal with the stares when locking it up :rotfl: rather than risking it going walkies. Knowing my luck it would happen to me especially now i've mentioned it!

I'm off on Sunday...can't wait! Thanks again..

Tracisup, Thank you for posting the info and pictures about the pushchair parking area. That is great to know too!

It is worth pointing out that these photos are not the strollers at DLP but WDW :)

I've got a snowboard chain for our upcoming trip. It's cheap and portable.

It's called a Burton TNT cable lock and I think it only cost £5.

Hi - we locked our buggy up during our last visit - it is quite expensive and tbh it's not just the cost as that would be covered by insurance it's the inconvience of not having a buggy if it went walk about - we didn't lock the buggy to railings just put the lock through the wheel spokes so the wheel wouldn't go round, the only way you could move it is by picking it up and it would be really obvious that it was being nicked! We love this - its really discreate http://www.chickilums.co.uk/out-about-buggy-buddy.html

I think this is the best option if you pushchair suits it. I can perfectly understand why we would all want to chain our buggies up...but imagine if ALL buggy ownwers started doing this and CMs couldn't move them around if needed (poss H&S issues??).

Personally I take my scruffiest buggy and don't leave valuables on it

we bought a Targus motion sensitive retractible alarmed cable lock for about £8 off Amazon and either locked it to the railings or put the alarm on motion sensitive. It was supposed to be 100Db but juts warbled. It stopped the buggy being nicked but someone still took a Minnie baloon from it
