I have never bought the dining plan since I have been a DVC member. My DH is telling me how much money we will save. We have a 4 year old dd who will be going for her first time. When it was just the two of us we would do a character breakfast a snack usually during the day and a dinner We sometimes did all three meals but not often. So my question is it worth it?

If you plan on doing charcter buffets (especially dinner ones), then it will probably save you some money as the cost for your DD's plan will be less than the buffet. Thus, her QS and snack are free.

Check out the menus and prices at allearsnet.com for some of the places you might visit and price it out. You won't save tons, but you will probably save some.
