Is it really that hot???

Is it that hot the last week Sept, first week of October? I looked at weather.com and it stated high's in upper 80's. When we went in mid-October I can't remember weather being too hot. Do those 2 weeks make that big of difference. Thanks in advance!

The average high for the first week in October in Orlando is 88 degrees. Average high for the 20th of October is 84 degrees.

The last week of September frequently has readings in the low 90s.

It does often hit 90 or more the first week of October but by mid-month readings at 90 or above are rare. It will still get to the low-to-mid 80s almost every day though.

Well I guess it depends on what you consider hot. To me (a native Georgian), hot is 100 degrees and cold is 50. So October weather is perfect and I think you'll find it quite pleasant.

I live here in Tampa and it can stay pretty hot in October (mid-upper 80's, depending). For example, I went to F&W Festival in October last year and it was BLAZING; probably about 90 (or so it seemed). You just have to get lucky and happen to get a cool couple of days.

We were there that exact week 2001. From this Northerner's point of view, it was HOT! An easy 87 with heat index in the 90's.

But think, if that were next to the ocean, you can stand it. It's the fact that you are walking on concrete and such...........you feel like you are in an easy bake oven.

But some really like it hot and they do OK. Only you know how you can take the heat.

It was 86 here the other day and it felt heavenly after 56 days of above 90 degree days.

thanks for quick responses, I guess I screwed up because I prefer temps in the 70's. Oh well well just have to swim a little more.....
