...to get from the Polynesian to Epcot via the monorail? I know you have to go through TTC, but do you have to change monorails?

I guess September is the first time you'll be staying at one of the "big three" on property?

Yes... you have to change monorails at the TTC. I have never actually timed the trip from the Floridian to EPCOT. But, by the time you get to the TTC, wait for another monorail, and travel to EPCOT... 45 minutes doesn't seem far off. But then again, when you're at DisneyWorld... who counts minutes!?! :-)

LOL..yes, as much as I have gone to Disney, first time at Poly since I was about 10 years old. Usually stayed off-site as a kid, and last few times I have been at the moderates, so haven't used the monorail much :-)

Thanks for the info!

The Poly is quite close to the TTC. Unfortunately, to get from Poly to the TTC, you have to go all around the resort loop - with stops at the GF, MK and CR before you get to the TTC. Then you have to transfer.

If you are up for the walk, it's almost always quicker to just walk from the Poly to the TTC.

It took us almost 2 hours to get from MK to the Beach club using the monorails and walking through Epcot.
It was not designed or built for speed.
Good Luck All,
Joe

It's a very short walk, maybe 5 minutes or less to walk to TTC from the Polynesian. Then it's a quick ride to Epcot. The whole trip took maybe 20 minutes.

We timed the walk from the Hawaii longhouse to the TTC and it took us about 13 minutes. I believe the Tahiti longhouse was about 5 minutes shorter in time. It is so much easier and quicker to walk to the TTC than taking the monorail. The walk is lovely and there are pathways available.

As previously posted, walk to the TTC from the Polynesian. It's a very pleasant walk, well lit at night, and pretty. Well, pretty until you get to the actual TTC. It shouldn't be more than 30 mins, from longhouse to Epcot, worst case scenario.....10 min walk, 10 min wait for monorail, 15 min ride to Epcot.

As others have said, WALK to the TTC from the Polynesian. You don't need to ride the monorail loop all the way around and change monorails.

We did this when we stayed at the Polynesian and it wasn't even close to 45 minutes. It was a short walk to the TTC, then we jumped on the monorail and took the ride to Epcot.

I agree with Diane's suggestion (and others similar) and her time frames. And it is a pretty walk. :cool1:

Did you WANT to see Epcot on the way to the Beach Club? The bus from the MK to the BC would've taken far less time.
