Is it possible

PD for you on the way glo!! I'm thinking I want to join oyu nad beanie in the Alex chalenge, so please, tell me exactly what it is so I can do it too- ok? All I know is that it is eating mostly meat- is that it- no carbs at all?

Glo -

I am fairly new here so I don't know a lot about your trip, but - did you fly? If so, I know that flying always makes me bloat and retain a lot of fluid.

So, drink a lot of water. Eat a lot of protein and you will probably flush most of it away very quickly.

I am glad you had a great time and welcome home.

Yes, I flew twice in 4 days...I have never noticed if it affects me. I made this a sched cheat, and I am back on induction today, but I dunno....just really down today. I was not ready to come back from this trip, and when I did get home, it has been less than pleasant, with more unpleasant stuff just around the corner. I figured I would gain 5 pounds or so on this trip, but 9 pounds???? I dunno :( :(

You have the Disney Blues!!! I always get tah

hat when I get abck from WDW and you glo! Put on some Disney music and go through your disney photos! that might help.... just a tad. Otherwise, I don't know how to help you except by saying- it's time to start planning your next trip!

We use this approach quite a bit around our house. Just divert their attention off what's bugging them and take off in another direction. Okay, you're the exercise guru around here....I have a question. I'm really struggling to push my treadmill time to 4.0 speed for longer each time I go (not doing inclines yet)- but this week has been horrible on my hamstrings- I've done stretches after my walks and treadmill but when I wake up in the morning they're tight and ache with every step. Did you find you ever had pain in your legs when you upped your limits? Any solutions? I thought about taking a break (I take days off on Monday & Friday) but I'm afraid I wouldn't get back into it again. And how long did it take you to be able to walk a 4.0 speed mile? The good news is my heart rate has been dropping steadily and not hitting the highs it used to (can you believe at 3.6 my heart rate is about 155 - used to be 165- and after I do 3 minutes of 4.0 it's hitting 170- had gotten as high as 178!) And my resting heart rate has dropped from 76 to 72! YEAH! So see, there's even more things to measure to reinforce you're staying healthy!!

Hopefully the weather is great- go out and doing something fun for yourself! I planted flowers all weekend- this also could have affected my hamstrings- all that bending. Am I gonna have to break down and buy that stinky ointment for my muscles?? Thanks for any help- and for the physical troubles- here's sending some much needed pixie dust (that alone can wreck a week!), oh, and naps don't hurt- I just took an hour long one while the kids watched Dragon Tales. Please let us know how you're doing-even in the low times you're an encouragement because you don't hesitate to share your struggles and it helps others realize that even thought we're big losers- life hits us broadside sometimes!!

Tara
