Saw this on the Travel Channel yesterday and thought this would be a great thing to do. Very scenic. Here is where a couple of the tours go.

Sante Fe
Grand Canyon National Park
Zion National Park
Cedar Breaks National Monument
Yellowstone National Park
Grand Teton National Park
Salt Lake City

or

Seattle
Glacier National Park
Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center
C.M. Russell Museum
Yellowstone National Park
Grand Teton National Park
Salt Lake City

I would do either one on points if it were possible. Is it possible?

It does sound great but as of now not possible. Only vacations listed in the member guidebook can be booked with points. Gosh, they don't even let you book all of the Interval International selections. Only the ones they select that they believe to be on par with Disney can be traded for.

LOL! We watched the same special and after it was over I ran to get our member book, I was bummed it wasn't listed.

Oh well, we have to wait another 5 years anyway because they don't allow children under 8. lol.

I checked it out a long time ago. I was interested in the American Orient Express that you mentioned, as well as one that goes to through the southern states.

I also saw an ad for cruising in a Delta Queen riverboat that looked really interesting. It was a paddle boat that you stayed on for several days to a week, just like in the days of Huck Finn. It cruised the Atlantic along the eastern coast and made stops at historic cities and sites.

I would love to do either one of those. Hope DVC would check them out to include, either through Concierge Collection or II.

Now we know how educated we are and also that we watch the same channels on the tube.

I also thought it would be a great exchange and on par with Disney.

My husband saw the American Orient Express program too and asked me to check to see if we could use points.

We've taken the Autotrain to Florida twice, but they were our only train experiences.

American Orient Express would be wonderful. I have always said I want to see our country before traveling overseas and there is so much I haven't seen here. We are soon to be empty-nesters...

Too Funny -my sister called me at 7:30am and told me about this trip, she looked it up on the net, $4300.00 per person, not including airfare!!!
