Is it possible to transfer on to towels?

I was thinking it would be a neat idea to make beach towels for our upcoming trip. Would the transfers work on a thick towel?

I'd like to know if you experienced t-shirt transfer-ers would think I could do one on a pique polo. You know, the kind that has a little waffle-weave texture? What do you think?

I don't know about towel but I don't think it works very well on polo shirts. I did it once and it didn't turn out all that great.

If it doesn't work on polo shirts it's probably pretty safe to assume that a towel wouldn't work either then.
