Is it possible to split reservation between reg. room/conceirge room?

Hello all!
We're going to be bad and make another trip this year to Disneyland, this time for Christmas!
We are AP holders and are planning to stay at the GCH. Right now it looks like 2 nights/3 days from Dec. 19-21. We can't really justify staying both nights in a conceirge room, but it would be nice to watch the fireworks for the lounge one night and to spoil ourselves a little. Has anyone ever split a reservation between a reg. and conceirge room? Not sure if I should book two seperate reservations online...or call and book that way, if its even possible. I am hoping to avoid changing actual rooms, but wouldn't mind too terribly much if we had.

There should be no problem booking conceirge room and a conceirge, I think conceirge rooms are on their on floor. So you will pribably have to change rooms. It is not uncommon for people to hotel hop and stay at 2 different hotels on a trip.

Not 100% positive, but I think your only problem will be the need to change rooms.

You can do it, the question is whether or not you'll need to do it as 2 separate reservations. Not all concierge rooms are on the concierge floor, so theoretically you could keep the same room and just lose (or gain, depending on which night you chose concierge) lounge privileges. I'm guessing they won't let you do it on one reservation, though.

We're actually considering this as well, since we currently have 2 nights concierge booked for next week at GCH and split 4 ways, but 2 of our party members have a situation that may make it impossible for them to go, so the other 2 of us are trying to decide whether or not we could afford to keep concierge both nights since it would double our cost. One thought was to go with std one night and concierge the other.

Thanks for your help ladies, I think I will just book two seperate reservations online, and see what happens when we get there! The worst thing that happens is we have to change rooms.

I would just call them, tell them what you'd like to do and see what the CM suggests. I'm sure they will try to be uber helpful as they usually are.

I'd call too. There have been specials if you stay two nights. A CM may be able to get you the specials even though you aren't at the same room type for both nights.

OP, did you call? I would book the first night concierge and then you can use the lounge the whole first day and until check-out the second, which in your case will be simply changing room definitions. It's possible they'll 'overlook' the change and essentially allow you to keep your concierge privilieges, at least for the rest of the day. It probably depends on how full concierge is at that time.

I thought to ask about this when I called to double check everything. I was told that they more than likely will have you book 2 seperate reservations , You would then go check out, and check back in, and from what she said probably also a room change. One thing she was pretty certain on is that you would have a extremely slim chance of getting to keep the concierge privliages as getting upgraded to that is extremely rare, and having to check out, and back in would need for them to upgrade you back up. This was what I was told when I asked how 1 goes about getting a certain type for part of the stay. HTH
