Is it possible to get Fantasmic FP's that day?

Hello! My daughter has expressed her interest in seeing Fantasmic during our upcoming trip in September. I really don't want to use FP for this since there are other things that we would like to use them for, so I was wondering if anyone has had any luck obtaining fast passes for it on the same day?

I looked in to the dining packages for it, but those didn't really interest me either.

What do you all think? Your help and opinions are greatly appreciated Thanks in advance!!

I would say yes. It's a Tier one and most people use their fastpass on TSMM or RnR. So you should definitely be able to get one.
If you have tickets in your MDE account check and see what is available each day when the park opens and that will give you a good idea of what you can get.

Highly likely usually all times of the year. We've gotten it an hour before showtime before

Make sure to check ahead and keep an eye on what is available for your days. Especially the night before.

We used it as our 4th FP in Nov. & Jan. One was on a Sat. so I'm hoping to use this same strategy in May. This time I am looking forward to booking from the app instead of getting to a kiosk.

We have added Fantasmic as an additional FP on the day of for each of our last 3 trips. Once we added it only an hour before the show.

We were able to get either show as a 4th FP+ on 3-21-16 (week before easter) after 5pm.

I went the first week of August last year and had no issue getting a FP for Fantasmic after using my last pre-booked FP at 6PM. I got it for the second showing but I think both were available.

I got FP's for 5 at about 4:30pm for a 7:30 F! Only one showing that night and the crowd level was a 7 or 8 on EasyWDW.

Thanks. I may try that this year. We always do the dinner package, but I could really live without it if I could grab a FP.

DH & I were able to snag a FP for Fantasmic on the same day in early December.
