Hi everyone!
First post here, so apologies if this is an oft repeated question. Have searched for an answer but haven't found one yet, so decided to be brave and post!
Been on the Dis a while, have visited WDW and DLP both several times, but somehow never ended up going to DLR. But have decided to take the plunge and visit in April 2011.
Read loads of posts so far, checked all the hotel reviews here and elsewhere, and have decided that for my specific needs, I would like to stay at the Grand Californian. I know you can get cheaper rooms offsite that are actually closer to the parks, but I've looked at every single one of the good neighbour hotels and can't find one I like the look of. But the GCH styling looks lovely, especially with the balconies.
Ok, I suppose I should stop rambling and get to my point! What I want to know is it is possible to get a discount on this hotel, or, where to go for the cheapest rates? WDW discount their onsite resorts heavily off peak and usually release the codes about six months ahead. Do they do anything similar at DL? Or is it just a case of having to pay the rack rate on the Disney website?
I should stress I'm not expecting to get a bargain, I know it's an expensive hotel, but a few dollars off would be nice!
Any help and advice greatly appreciated!
