Hey all,

Just wondering what your thoughts on fitting two parks into one day are.

I know that Animal Kingdom isn't really a full day but what else could you do in that same day?

Thanks!:smooth:

Depends on when you're going, what you MUST see, what park hours are, how many in your party, how many kids and ages, if you're staying on site, etc.

Then you need to also add in meals and must see shows. If you never want to see a parade or a single firework that adds to the time you can spend on the rides. I just can't imagine wanting to miss the fireworks.

If you are selective about the attractions you want to experience, then most days you could tackle AK (morning) and MGM (evening) in a single day.

It kinda depends on what you want to do at MGM. If you want to ride TOT and RNR, all of the FastPasses may be gone, so you could spend 45-60 minutes waiting standby. You also have to be careful to schedule your touring around any timed shows that are running.

But, from my perspective, there are only about a half-dozen attractions worth repeating at AK. And most of them have FastPass. If you can visit during an Early Entry day, and use FastPass to its fullest, there's little reason you couldn't have most of your touring done by noon.

It does all depend on what you want to see. We always plan a full day for MK and Epcot but this upcoming trip we are doing AK and MGM on the same day, start at AK at opening and then after lunch head over to MGM for the remainder of the day. Part of that is because we only have 3 days left on our PHP and are doing a day at Universal since we skipped it last year. We are doing a couple of day road trips this year so only four park days.

Usually we like to do one day at each park which allows us to do the parks at a more casual pace. If you don't mind missing a few things you can do AK and MGM in one day. We have been able to see everything we wanted at both parks in a day but crowds can also play into how much you get to see. If MGM closes early you may not get to see as much. Some shows, like Indy, at MGM don't have later shows so keep that in mind if you try.

It all depends on what you want to do. Our trip a few weeks ago, we did 3 parks on our last day, filling in all the things we wanted to do again or had missed on our previous days. We started at MGM, getting there for EMH, did rock n roller coaster, tower of terror, who wants to be a millionaire and then split. We took the bus to the magic kingdom, did splash mountain, big thunder mt railroad, pirates of carribean, and Mickeys philharmagic. We also fit in lunch. Took the monorail to Epcot where we spent the rest of the day, mostly in the world showcase, although the kids did play some games at innoventions. We also ate dinner there. My DS and I stayed till closing, while my DD and DW went back to the hotel. It was a long day but fun.

If you have been to the parks before and just want to hit some favorites, doing 2 parks in one day is no problem. I've even visited 3 in a day in the past.

If you are new to the parks, however, I think its a bad idea because you really won't get to fully appreciate any park in just a few hours. Although AK doesn't have as many actual attractions as the others, it is the most beautiful park with the most to look at outside of attractions. You can easily spend a few hours just admiring the scenery, Tree of Life, plants, animals, elaborate carvings, etc. Plus AK has some terrific shows - Lion King, Tarzan, etc. - that you should definitely leave time for. If you are a photographer, definitely enter AK with plenty of film (or memory cards). You'll need them.

The last day of our last trip was pretty hectic. MGM biggies - ToT etc first, Animal Kingdom - TTBAB, Dino, Safari second, DTD for a few stores third, Blizzard beach for an hour fourth, MK - POTC, SM, Buzz, Splash fifth, and lastly Epcot to finish the day. Of course we used a car, and must have lost 10lb running around. Two or three parks in a day can be done, but you will be so rushed that you will not be able to appreciate the small things that that we all love about WDW.

Totally depends on you. I can easily do AK in about 3 hours, and about the same for MK. To me, we spend most time in Epcot and MGM.

You can do it, depending on your priorities =)

I am planning on using my early entry days into the parks but I have been told that these parks get very crowded fast for later in the day. I am planning on hitting the park that has early entry as soon as it opens and then return to the park that is listed as usually the least crowded after that. Here is our tentative schedule for what parks we are visiting on what days.

Tuesday - EE (Early Entry) @ Disney MGM then go to AK

Wednesday - EE @ Epcot then go to MGM

Thursday - EE @ MK then go to Epcot

Friday - EE @ AK then go to MK

My theory is this.........If I go to the EE parks I will be able to ride some of the popular rides with little or no wait then I can go over to the other park when it becomes too crowded at the park I went to for EE. I will use the Unofficial Guide to WDW's touring plan when I start at the second park for the day starting about where I think that I should have been at the time I get to the park. Does that make sense? Does it sound like a good plan? Any suggestions?

Help this is my first time!!!

Howdy, Ag! :teeth:

When are you going? You might want to add going back to Epcot (or MK) on Tuesday to watch the fireworks, as AK will close around 5-6. Or, you might want to go to DD or resort-hopping. Other than that, your plan sounds great to me. When we've done EE, we have been able to get a lot done that morning -- it's great!

Where are you staying? How are you getting there? We've driven the 4 times we've gone, but we are seriously considering flying the next time. (We're in CS.)

Details, Ag, we need details. I know I live to hear about others trips until I can get back -- and I know there are others who do the same! ::MickeyMo

Glad to hear from a fellow Texan! We live really close to CS. We live in the small town of Milano. (POPULATION 412)

Here are the details
We are going on June 14th - 19th and will be staying at POP.
We will be flying out of Dallas Love Field. We put a pen and paper to it and with gas prices the way they are supposed to be , not to mention extra nights in the hotel and food we thought we would be better off flying. My family of four which includes our DS 6 and DS 4 will be flying for around $790.

Day one - We plan on arriving at POP at around 4 on the 14th. We will probably get situated in our rooms and hang out by the pool before we to the Campfire Program at Fort Wildrerness. This night is a hotel only.

Next four days - The next four days will be spent in the parks (Still fine tuning those plans. Thanks for your suggestions.)We are planning on the ice cream social at Garden Grill at Epcot.

Day six - Sleep in a little bit. Take bags to hotel desk. Head to Chef's Mickey for the Grand Finale! Afterwards go Resort hopping and finish the day swimming at the pool. Our flight doesn't leave out until that evening.

Thanks for the suggestions about the shows. Silly me I really haven't thought the show thing through very well. We want to go but I guess I figured that I would work that out when I got there. Need to start planning those shows in! HA!

I'm glad that you think that would work well to do EE and then another park. I was kind of worried!

Any more suggestions?

Yes you can! I agree you must be selective. For us, AK is about a half day. I would suggest that perhaps the other half of the day might be spent at Epcot or MK. You might find you don't need two whole days at those parks(if you know what you like).:earsboy:

Last MNSSHP (the day of) we (my son and I) hit all 4 parks LOL. AK frist thing in the morning, then to MGM to ride RRC, then to Epcot for Mission Space, then to MK for MNSSHP...

but on that note let me just say that it was a weeeee bit too much. My son was barely able to keep his eyes open long enough to see the headless horseman come by. The other days we would do 2-3 parks at a time, usually hitting Epcot about mid day to ride MS, eat, then leave.

First park 9 to 12
Go back to hotel. Pool and rest.
Second park 6 to 9
Thats how we do it and it work great!

We have done all four parks in one day. I don't recommend it.:hyper: Most of the time we will go to one park for
EE and when it gets to be around 1 we will leave and get some lunch and take a break. Then head to another park for the
evening. Works out great.
