Spent 2 hrs at the grocery store today getting what was still needed for Christmas dinner for 14. I swear I've probably spent my entire months grocery budget on this one meal. :confused3 And I'm not even providing dessert. The guests are.

This is all so ridiculous.

I hear ya Splash!!

I went food shopping this afternoon, we have it at my mother's house and its only about 10 people but the cost of everything was just so much, its crazy.

Not only that but now we have to cook!!!!

I wish it was Dec. 26th already.....

But I hope you have a Merry Christmas! :santa:

DW and I did some grocery shopping tonight and as we were loading the bags into the car it dawned on me: The upside to the high price of groceries is that $170 worth of food doesn't weigh down the vehicle like it used to:upsidedow

i know it. have oven roasts always cost $98 or was that just today? holy cow, seriously.

I am right there with you. We always host Christmas day at our house and it gets expensive. We do a buffet where everyone brings certain things. So although I am not doing all the cooking, it still costs me so much more than the rest of the family. We provide all the paper goods and utencils, cups and such. As well as all the "other" things that we need. It all just starts adding up. I am so ready for this week to end.
