I apologise if this has been asked but I looked in the sticky and didn't see anything and I tried to search and didn't find anything either...

I have been trawling through many disigners photobuckets/4shared and have downloaded a number of images that I hope to customise to our needs and tastes.

I just wanted to check that 1) it is ok to download and alter a disigners work without first asking permission? And 2) is it ok to post photos of the finished products as long as you credit the original disigner?

I have posted Mickey heads in various colors but most "stuff" I do NOT want altered. If you want personalization for a non-blank image I will do that myself. I do not anticipate that anyone else will replace names or dates on images, for example.

Personalizing yourself is greatly different than "altering" after all ! If it is clearly a blank you can probably use but never hurts to check with the DISigner.

Definitely great to post images of your creations.

I decided to ask on this thread as this is a similar question....

I have been helping out a few girls design some 3x4 and 4x6 journal and filler cards for scrapbooking/project life. I would like to know if I can use some of the disigners images (without any alterations of course) as clipart? Such as a mickey head or other image. I would of course reference and give credit for the images I use. This is not for profit or anything just sharing with others on the boards to use. I am not sure what the protocol on this is and I don't want to do anything incorrect with these boards.

A plain Mickey head is one thing, a DISign is something else. I and I alone will use my creations for DISigns and do not anticipate that anyone will alter or use them as clip art. I believe it is quite obvious what is a blank...you always need to ask up front if you have any question and not simply use another's work (and credit them after the fact).

The clip art that DISigners use is generally readily found via Bing or Google etc. Please try to search and locate your own....
