Is it ok to wear black to a day wedding?

You guys are too funny! No children under 12 yrs. old allowed at this wedding (the invitation states so), which is ok with me. Just me and DH going!:hyper:

black silk - like black linen - is very easy to dress up/down.

I bought a black strapless linen dress from Banana republic last year for $128. My mother was SHOCKED that I spent that much on a dress.

I've worn it FIVE times though - to day weddings and night weddings.

it's all about the acessories.

I've worn simple silver or pearl jewelry during the day with a flatter shoe and cardigan...and rinestone/sparkly jewelry at night with my hair up and heels.

LOL!!! No shiny stuff for me, it's black silk.;)
Silk is my weakness, Rita... I would *definitely* wear that dress at the wedding if I were you ::yes::

I concur, and it's not what you waer, its how you carry it off (or wear under it)

Every girl needs a basic black dress to wear as the "wed 'em and bury 'em" dress.
