Is it obvious?

Are dining plan eligible food items labelled/signed well? Example, lets say I go in to the Main St Bakery and want to get something with a snack credit will there be any problems figuring out what I can get or do you find yourself constantly asking?

There is a little purple square icon next to each item considered a snack. You will find an example of the icon I speak of in the Dining Plan PDF available on the WDW website, and you will probably find pictures on some Disney fan sites such as this one which show what they will look like on the price tag.

Also, have a look at the confirmed snacks list! :)

Yes I have seen the icon, I noticed some stuff with it on in the food court at the resort, but the question still stands, is everything that is eligible marked as such?

I was wondering about CS, is everything on the menu, or is there a symbol for that

Sometimes you will see a label. Sometimes you will not, and you'll have to ask. No, every single eligible item everywhere will not be marked. Generally, eligible snack items are single-serving items that cost around $4 or less. Not all snack items fit this category though, so it doesn't hurt to ask.

The CM will explain it to you....they are like robots on explaining it now.

Pretty much everything on the menu at a restaurant will be covered.

The only things that get tricky are the "apps and desserts for 2 people to share" so you have to have 2 people in on it.

The other thing is that some places include smoothies, milkshakes, (virgin cocktails at Kona), or coffee drinks as the beverage credit. Some will only give you a soda and you have to use your dessert credit to cover a milkshake or smoothie.

The servers will explain the rules when they greet you before your meal.

If you are looking at menus.....just pick whatever entree and dessert you want (and app if using deluxe plan)....they will be included.

How do you know what is included in the dining plan for a Table service meal?
The Host/ess will likely ask you if you're using a dining plan, as will your server. If your server doesn't, you should tell them. This will not change your level of service. It simply allows your server to inform you if anything is not included in your plan - for example, appetizers are not included in the standard dining plan.

Can anyone help me on C/S and what to look for or is it all of the menus in each of the C/S restaureants

On a regular CS credit you can choose ANY entree and ANY dessert you want from the menu at a participating restaurant (except at Tangierine Cafe, which has a bakery setup that offers several different types of pastries, but if you're on DDP you can only get baklava for dessert).

You can usually choose any drink on the menu except those in souvenir cups, and sometimes "specialty" drinks. Alcoholic beverages are not included.

Snacks, however, may be more limited. If side items are marked on a CS menu it means they're available for a snack credit. Not all side items at all CS are available for a snack credit.

This is for adult credits. Children age 3-9 order from the children's menu, if there is one.
