Is it me or the prices are changing?

I am shopping our next journey in 2014. I love resorts with themed swimming pools (moderate ). In 2010 we had made our choice on Port - Orleans French Quarter, because it was cheaper and quieter. Now, it seems to be more expensive. Is there a rotation in the prices?

Prices do go up each year. POR/POFQ are considered moderates. You may happen on to a special between now and then.

They go up every year, and if you're looking at a different time of year, the pricing structure is completely different.

A room during value season can be several hundred dollars a night cheaper than the same room during holiday periods.

They've also started breaking down the seasons into more and more prices. Now all the weekend days have separate pricing than during the week.
As long as you're going during a less popular time, you should be able to get some sort of discount (although POFQ tends to be blocked out of a lot of general public discounts) but the discounts have been getting less valuable.

As the pp's said, rates change from year to year and the pricing seasons change every now and then. For instance, what used to be "value" season the week before Christmas is now "peak" season, making the rates quite a bit more than they used to be during that particular time.
