Nope, not just you. Having the same problem here.

I just replied on a post and actually left the room, checked the fridge, made additions to my grocery list and came back to the computer before my post came up.

Running back-ups and exports can really slow down a database.

It's been painfully slow all week. I actually one day hit a link went to the bathroom, came back and the page was still loading.

Thank goodness it is going to get better.

As mentioned above, WebmasterAlex recently posted that the DIS is currently working on a few things internally which could result in pages loading slowly. Please be patient with us while the process is underway.

I have seen this the last couple of days.

We will be upgrading to some new servers over the next 10 days or so
There will be some occasional periods of downtime as we get ready to migrate
Like now
We should be back up in an hour or so

When I hit a slowdown this past weekend, I remembered Webmaster Alex's post about the possible slowdowns. However, I was surprised by how twitchy I got! I kept on going back to the main Dis page to see if it would load any faster, and when it didn't, I began to worry about what I might be missing.
