As usual, I made my reservations a few months ago.

- Reservation 1 for 4/28 - 5/3 at HRH: Platinum upgrade to King Suite
- Reservation 2 for 10/9 - 10/14 at RPR: Platinum upgrade to King Suite.

I initially made both reservations with the AAA rate and received a confirmation email almost immediately.

Then, when the Super Saver rates came out, I switched rates for both reservations.

I never got a confirmation email for either rate change; however, I wasn't too worried about it since when I "retrieved reservation" on the Net Booker site, it showed the correct Super Saver rate with my King Suite confirmed. I have to say that this was back in December? Maybe January?

So, yesterday as in 2 months later, I get a confirmation email for my reservation at the RPR out of the blue. Except that it has me paying $315/night instead of the $199.80 I'm supposed to be paying (:worship: All hail LF Platinum benefits!). Sometimes this happens when you FIRST make your reservation because the email was sent before the upgrade was applied. But, 2 months later, I'm all "huh?" I retrieve my reservation from the Net Booker site, and this also says my rate is $315. :confused3

I call and explain the situation, and the reservationist is baffled. She gets a supervisor who changes my rate back to $199.80 and sends me an email from Special Services to confirm the RPR rate for October. Cool.

Except that that email triggered a re-send confirmation of my HRH reservation for April/May, and sweet Lord Jesus in heaven, don't they want to now charge me $399 per night, when it's supposed to be $225.40 per night? (Again, :worship: All hail LF Platinum benefits!). I retrieve my reservation from the Net Booker site, and what was once $225.40 is now $399. I make my second phone call of the day to tell them what happened and to have them make sure that if I get another confirmation from HRH that that won't set off a rate increase at the RPR.

Less than 12 hours later, so far so good with my rates being correct on the Net Booker site (but no email confirmation from HRH), but I'll be retrieving my reservations regularly to make sure they don't change again, especially before I leave in a month.

Am I the only one this is happening too? Perhaps they did a batch update of some kind yesterday?

I booked RPR in july and never got email confirm until a month ago and they have my rate right but it says 1 nights room rate as deposit yet they never took it out and have called several times and they tell me not to worry and they were running slow and it would be took in 7 to 10 days and that was a month ago and still haven't took it :confused3

Lawrence, our confirm said the same thing but they never took the deposit until we got there.

I am on the phone with PBH right now. I got a new confirmation yesterday for a room booked 2/4/08. Funny thing is my first confirmation was wrong too. I called to get it corrected, got a new correct confirmation and now it's wrong again. I will bring the correct confirmation with me at check in just in case.

I'm confussed (blonde moment). When hubby made reservations, Universal required $100 deposit. Is this wrong? Should it have been 1 nite?

You might have booked with Universal Vacations which processes reservations differently than just reserving a room. Do you know if your $100 deposit is refundable?

Thanks Damo I was wondering and thats what I thought and when I get there can I go ahead and pay for the whole stay or will they make me wait till check out

We just paid it all at check out.

The $100 deposit thing confuses me. You must have booked with Universal Vacations.

Yeah that $100.00 deposit the other poster talks about confusses me too and wondering who they booked thru.

Hmmmm, wonder if they didn't do that batch send after all. I thought it was rather random that yesterday, after 2 months or so, that I got a new confirmation.

Hope yours was all straightened out. I now have 2 email confirmations at the RPR with the correct rate, but none yet for HRH. We'll see.

I made a reservation at PBH for Aug. I got a super saver rate with a room upgrade (gold). I get my e-mail confirmation with a higher rate. I called and was told that it was indeed the right rate. A few days later I get another e-mail. This e-mail had the rate I was quoated and booked for :confused3 .

I'm going to call in a month or so to confirm my reservation and see what rate they have me in the system.

I'm booked with the supersaver rate in May and just confirmed online that my rate is still accurate. I hadn't received an incorrect confirmation email, but after reading this thread, decide it would be prudent to check. I'm also a Loewsfirst Gold member, but hadn't called to inquire about an upgrade. So I'm wondering if its the Loewsfirst membership upgrades, mixed with the supersaver rate, that's causing the rate confusion.

No, it isn't wrong. I made my reservations thru Universal and they required a $100.00 deposit. The balance has to be paid three weeks before your trip. I gave them my credit card number so it will be charged automatically.
