(Marc) Davis' Tinker Bell is widely rumored to be modeled after Marilyn Monroe. Not true. Davis did use a live model for Tinker Bell, but her name was Margaret Kerry. "There were a lot of people who thought Tink was just a little too sexy," Miss Kerry recalls. "But Marc Davis told me he got away with it by keeping the bottom half womanly while drawing the top half as a young girl."
"Tinker Bell was designed with the knowledge that her acting would all be done in pantomime, with a face that would register her emotions clearly, a simple costume that would not clutter up her movements, and sex appeal to charm the viewer."

Since we're talking about sex appeal how about the girls at the Norway pavilion at Epcot. I think the add that runs in Norway reads, "Opportunity to work for slave wages in the US, any girls less than a 9.5 need not apply".
