Is it just me or does anyone else NOT like Krispy Kremes?

We don't have them up me way( :( ) and I've had them twice and all I can say is, YUM! The donut holes arn't as good, but the plain glazed are awesome! Actually my sister's school is having a fundraiser, someone is driving to buy us some in mass. wow i'm so excited, they're coming next week! Yay!

I use to love KK, but I have had so many of them that they are starting to taste too sweet for me. I will always take a warm one though!!! Too bad I am getting tired of them because they are building a KK across the street from my house and I could walk there every day!!!

They're OK, but I wouldn't wait in line for them hours etc., like I have heard some folks do.

A donut's a donut. I like Dunkin' Donuts too, and Donut Inn donuts.

Love 'em. Luckily I only have them a couple of times a year. It's a bit of a drive for us.

I LOVE super-sweet things, usually the things that people say yuck over like wedding cake frosting. My favorite KK is the cream filled. It's glazed, chocolate covered and filled with the gooiest cream center. YUM.

A donut's a donut
I agree. Plus, there are plenty of independently owned donut shops around here which have a much better product. I've never understood the allure of KK, the waiting in line, the people who go crazy with joy because KK is finally coming to where they live. KK is good, but it's not the Alpha and Omega of donuts like some make it out to be.

I don't like them either.
Kids love them. My DH says they are too small for what they cost :D

Count me in on the don't like KK club.. Too Sweet and I get this heavy stomach feeling after i eat one..nope, not interested in any.. when we were on the DCL in March, they had them at Topsiders for breakfast.. the kids liked them but i save my calories for Mickey ice cream bars, or the kitchen sink....

I am also not a fan. To me they are just a donut. Nothing more nothing less.

I'm another one who is not a fan..and I've had them fresh and hot and also cold. They are just OK. I would never actually buy them on my own, I would never wiat in line for them.. I like the old fashion big, heavy donuts. I like Dunkin Donuts too! The store I work in (Wegmans) has donuts that are very comparable to dunkins.

I haven't had a donut in so long this thread is making my mouth water.

I don't like them either.....far too sweet. I have a fat tooth, not a sweet tooth :D

I don't like them, either. I wish Dunkin Donuts would start fighting back. They closed all of the ones here.

I had tried Krispy Kremes before and never really "got it." Then they opened a store in our town. You walk in and watch the donuts being made through a glass window...they rise, they are fried, then go through the glazing machine and down a short conveyor...then they hand you one of those just made donuts for free ...that donut was made about 10 seconds ago...it totally melts in your mouth...THAT is what makes people nuts over Krispy Kremes.

KK's glazed donuts are too sweet and give me heartburn. I think they taste just like the donuts I used to eat as a kid that were sold in the freezer section of the grocery store. You heated them in the oven or microwave. I do, however, like KK's blueberry-filled powdered-sugar-coated donuts. But when I went to the KK shop at MCO, they were sad to tell me that they had discontinued those :(.

I don't like grocery store bakery donuts or Dunkin Donuts, either. But donuts from little local donut shops are my FAVORITE thing for breakfast. Yummy.

The only KK I enjoy is the old-fashioned glazed ones ... all of the others aren't bad, in my opinion, but there isn't anything that seems particularly special about them

Tess :)

Another NO vote on Krispy Kreme. I don't like them.

I don't like them. I don't like glazed donuts in general. Too sticky, too sweet, too messy.

And around here, Tim Horton donuts completely kick KK's butt. There is simply no comparison.;)

We used to have a routine on Sundays -- go to Mass then stop at the Jewel for donuts. Then someone in their corporate office decided that they should sell KK instead. They're way more expensive, smaller, and way too sweet for my taste. So there went our family routine :( Apparently we aren't the only family who did this either, when I complained to someone at the customer service desk, she told me that she had heard the same thing from dozens of people.

KK----YUCK! I'm not a huge donut fan to begin with. The two times I have had one I did not care for it. But there are other donut shops that I have been to where I enjoyed a simple glazed donut---Krispy Kreme's were too greasy.

I am not a donut person at all--I couldn't even tell you the last time I actually ordered a donut at Dunkin Donuts...probably over 10 years ago (but I like their bagels). Donuts just seem to sit like a lump in my stomach.

Having said that, though, I can say with the utmost enthusiasm that I looooooooove Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. It's more like a dessert than a donut. Just the plain ones--the rest of them are just donuts to me, have no interest.

My mother and her SO both do not like KKs.

I have never tried one(don't have any around here), but I don't like doughnuts any how, so I probably wouldn't care for them. I worked at a DD for about 5 months in college and didn't eat one doughnut the entire time!! But I hope lots of people DO like KK doughnuts as my DM's Relay for Life team is having a KK fundraiser in May!.........................P
