Is it Juan-uary yet? Bachelor Juan Pablo dish - NO SPOILERS please!!!

Playing devil's advocate- If he feels like the show was not fair to him or had his back, then I can kinda understand him not wanting to give them anything, he just didn't explain it well...... Or maybe it is just that he now wants to see how the relationship will play out now that the show is over and they can go out in public together...

....personally, I'd rather have him just 'date' her, rather than proposing and giving Nikki the ring, just to get 'good ratings' and they don't end up together anyway....

OMG! Chris is totally throwing him under the bus. Wow. It makes me wonder whether we'll hear about JP suing or something.

....not that I'm necessarily in JP's corner, but that was not cool of Chris...

I think that Pablo went in to this season not truly understanding what being the Bachelor meant even though he had already been on the Bachelorette.

I think that he went in to this season more to find a girl to date not one to propose to....

....yes...ITA!

I am. They finally have a Bachelorette whose IQ is in the three digits. She's also used to interrogating people. I think she will ask smart, pertinent questions of the men about their views and values. Same as Emily did. They will be on their toes.

....I hear the new name for the show will be The Inquisition. popcorn::

I've been thinking about what he could have said that was so offensive. I think it wen along the lines of: "Clare, I don't know anything else about you, but I know you are a great ****." Or "Clare, I don't know anything else about you, but I know you have a great 'cat.'"

Seriously, when she gives it away in the middle of the ocean at 3am, while all the other girls are holding back, what else is he going to be focused on about her? It was the same as Ben with Courtney. Once they went skanky dipping in the ocean, she won the competition, but not his respect. :sad2:

....thank you - my thoughts exactly.

I in no way love JP...didn't like a lot that he said or did on this season.

But I don't get all of this love for Clare?:confused3 Sure he said something rude to her and I don't approve of that.

But when you sneak out of the room with the other girls at three a.m and go knocking on his door to go skinny dipping, and you get what you went there for...

It certainly isn't love... more like pity. When the episode started Monday, I had every intention of completely mocking Clare. She has been my least favorite girl from the start. I even got a few screenshots of her ridiculous faces to post and mock.

But something about JP's douche nozzle-ness made me feel sorry for her.

I KNOW that the show is produced in such a way to accelerate the development of feelings. And that the characters are edited to appear a certain way. And that they are purposely led on, not just by the lead but by handlers and producers to get the MAXIMUM emotional reaction. But on some level, those feelings are real. So for Clare to pour her heart out, and JP just laugh those feelings off, it was really like WOW! He is a complete tool, or a psycho.

No love for any of them, or hate either. Claire is no different than most young girls who live off their looks, she confuses sex with love. She saw it as a bond with him, he saw it as a conquest. She thought giving herself to him was a barter for his affection, he saw it as something he can take and never give anything back. Oldest story in the book.

I'm just glad she didn't sit and listen to more of his bs at ATFR. That's always a pathetic scene anyway so we were spared him tripping all over his lies and her trying to get out words around her teeth.:rolleyes2

What a sad trio. :badpc:

I saw Chris Harrison being interviewed on some news show today and he said that he really thought that Juan Pablo really loved Nikki. When asked about the time he left the stage he said that he thought that they were off the air and he was going to get a drink of water. He also said that he had no beef with Juan and does not know what beef Juan has with him.

I just watched the last 5-10 minutes of their last date and when Juan Pablo dumped her :crazy2: and she didn't say that at all. She said that on the last hour together she wanted reassurance from him and he said that he could see himself in Sacramento and having babies with him.

I found a transcript from ChicagoNow: http://www.chicagonow.com/sick-tire...bachelor-recap-finale-i-like-you-a-lot-a-lot/

I can see where you could come to the conclusion that they had sex when she said, "I wanted to do it because I believed in us." but I think she was referring to having babies and moving in together.

In any case, after re-watching those parts of the show :scared: I do think that he led her on more than most bachelors usually do. It was positively painful to listen to her  when I knew that she was going to be dumped hard.

Robin, you seriously think that all they did was talk on their last one night together? I know the literal words of the transcript don't say it. But, they've been pretty hush about their "3am swim" in the ocean too. Yet, Clare's over-reaction to BOTH events say volumes more than their literal words.

She SLEPT with him that final night. She needed reassurance that she was more than an easy ****, and she stupidly believed JP's assertion that she was the one - when all he wanted was to get into her pants one more time. After all he loves ****ing her.

As RobinRS says below, she's the type of gal with such low self-esteem, that she thinks her worth is in her looks and through sex. She really thought she could win JP's love and attention through sex, first in the ocean, and she certainly wouldn't hold out on that last night if she thought and was TOLD, that she was the one, and that sleeping with him would seal the deal.

Totally agree with this post. I was kind of rooting for Clare to win. She is a brainless airbag, who used sex to her advantage. They kind of deserved each other.

But, in the end, I'm not that heartless. Yes, she's got wind between her ears, but she does have real feelings. She really thought she could WIN JP's love by bartering sex. But, JP wasn't interested in love just conquests.

And for him to ask her, "Do you want to know when I changed my mind?" Something heartless was probably coming, like it was when Clare was crying (and vulnerable, laying her heart on the line,) or after sex, that he decided she wasn't good enough. No one needs to be told crap like that. I'm glad she cut him off.

::yes:: :thumbsup2

I don't know if anyone has any 'love' for Clare.
She is who she is....
OMG, the day she actually followed Nikki to her very bed to harass her....
That was almost scary!!!!

She set herself up for what she got!!!
Don't present yourself as a (insert word here) and then complain when the inevitable happens.

BUT, the thing about Clare... I think maybe she is learning a lot.
She was able to stand up for herself and to see the truth and take ownership of it. She was able to do what she says she has never been able to to before, like SO many young women... and take confidence in herself, and to tell a man the truth, and walk away.... (So much for Juan Pablo's warped version of 'being honest')

For that, yes, I was applauding for her.
I actually said, right at that moment... "Who would have ever thought that anyone would be applauding that woman???"

Juan is what he is.
There is no justification, no excuse, and no denial.

I am seeing the new headlines now about how he is BLAMING all of this on the producers and the show.

Ummmm, Helllllooooo..... No other person who has done one season of the show, and then returned as the bachelor/bachelorette, and completed that season... have ever come away with anywhere near this situation and this animosity....

Juan is who he is.
He is inappropriate, stubborn, rude, and very quick to anger and to cast blame when he feels he has been slighted. All of the current hoo-ha is just more of the same.

It is the absolute ultimate of a very, very, inappropriate 'screw you' attitude. No question.

Not flaming the guy...
Don't really care tomorrow one way or another...
Just a TV show... Millions of other guys just like him out there. (as some have mentioned)
But, sometimes, the obvious is just so, well, obvious, that it must be stated.

Exactly....
For her to do that, be able to do what she did, the way she did, speaks volumes.

And, PS: Yes, people, they hooked up... and I would say that they probably found opportunities other than the two we know of.

Hey, didn't JP say something to Claire about her talking to him a certain way too when they were alone? It was the segment when they were on the couch and Claire was trying to understand what he meant by saying whatever trashy thing he did. I'm going out on a limb here and thinking that a woman who makes out in a hot tub on their first date and then later secretly (with a camera man of course!) goes to his room for a romp in the ocean just might be familiar with some dirty talk.

I'm trying to remain objective here, going by Claire's actions the whole season. Isn't it possible that she was expecting a sweet nothing whispered in her ear when JP was just responding like they'd probably always done? Their chemistry was purely physical, hell, it made me blush to be watching it!! Shouldn't Claire be taking some responsibility for her actions too when she was riding him in the hot tub and ocean?

Sorry, but that still would make no difference to me at all.
Again, Clare, The Producers, anything else at all...
None of those things can be used to absolve this man.
Just because she may, or may not, have engaged in a little 'talk' does not have any bearing on Juan Pablos attitudes and actions.

Still can't figure out why there are so many people who are trying to justify the man? :confused3

In fact, the fact that Juan Pablo tryed to act all pious and high and mighty and try to place blame on Clare, the woman, right after that ocean incident, just cements what an (again, insert word of choice here) he is. That line of thought is one of the the things that was a huge huge red flag, right then.

Without, verbally, kicking herself in the rear, right there on national television... and saying a lot of things that she shouldn't... I felt like she took ownership of her situation...

I'm not trying to absolve JP at all. What I'm saying is that Clare was playing along, right up until he dumped her! She was apparently so offended by some "sexual" comment that she decided to....make out with him again on the couch and stay there in St. Lucia expecting to be the final girl standing.

And the whole ocean make out fest? She was FINE with it and literally shocked that he wasn't afterward.

Think about it. Had he chosen her as the final one, she'd have accepted him in a heartbeat! That's why this whole turnaround in attitude with her is suspect to me. If she'd been questioning him all along, his motives, etc. I'd find it more believable. Instead she came off like a sore loser because he chose to stick his tongue down Nikki's throat rather than hers.

For the record, I still think JP is a pig, that hasn't changed. But Clare was MORE than happy to stay and frolic with him.

Maybe she did and maybe she didn't. You said that she insinuated that she had sex with him in her Juan Pablo slap down. She didn't. I know it's easy to believe that a woman who sneaks off and "swims" with a man at 3am would do so. And it's easy to believe that a man that has acted in a disrespectful way would lie just to get one more go with her. The fact is that we really don't know if they had sex that night or not.

FWIW, I don't think her Juan Pablo slap down was an over-reaction. He just told her 1-2 days before that he reassured her that he could see a life with her and she was convinced that she was F1. That alone is worth her fury.

Cassandra was quoted as saying that he slept with three women that she knows of, for a fact.

We can assume that Clare and Nikki are two of them, but who was the third? I sure as heck hope it wasn't Andi.

Any man who sleeps with several women as a test run, is a pig in my eyes, and any woman with a shred of self-respect would run away as quickly as possible, once realizing it.
