Is it hot enough for you?

Eh, it's not too bad here. It's 81 with a heat index of 87. The humidity is at 79% though, that's the killer part. You walk outside and just feel wet and sticky all the time. :headache:

It's 33C / 91F but feel likes 41C / 106F. I'm finally warm!!!! :cool1: For me, outside is nice but inside at 23C, I'm wearing one sweater and have another sweater over my legs. My DH keeps saying that he's going to get me some circulation but he hasn't yet.

I don't even feel like cooking - any ideas for dinner?!

Cold salads - lettuce salads, macaroni, potato? Cold cereal or sandwiches? Those are some ideas from what my mom eats when it's too hot to cook.

With our house at 88 degrees right now, there is NO WAY I'm cooking anything in the oven. We may not even have dinner tonight.

It's apparently 92 degrees here (Columbus Ohio) but I am not about to leave the air conditioning and verify that!

I  heat and humidity!

I just got in from running some errands around the Lehigh Valley PA and my vehicle was reading between 104-106 over the course of 4 hours around Route 22 & Airport road (ABE) so it's no fluke. My central air is barely making a dent and is keeping the house from sweltering, but not cool enough upstairs for my 2 Asthmatic kids. DH & I bit the bullet and bought an ADDITIONAL window unit for our bedroom and we all slept in there last night with the kids on airbeds. DS & DD have been getting Nebulizer treatments around the clock since the air quality alerts went into effect and they both started to show symptoms. I am very fearful for all the people out there with health problems, tonight's news is going to be heartbreaking, I just now it:sad1:

I give up - I'm melting.

Well, it is only 90 (feels like 94) with 50% humidity.:cool2:

I can't imagine how much worse it would be if Lake Michigan didn't help keep us a little bit cooler.

Pizza... or get a roasted chicken at the store.. I'd have to be insane to turn the oven on today:eek:

I was thinking the same thing... what can we get delivered? Ugh. I can't cook tonight, I just can't.

It's about 104 here in North Jersey. We spent all day at the pool but it got just too hot. I'd rather be in the AC than in the pool today!!

It has been very cold here lately. Someone stole our July and we'd like it back, please.

Nope sorry we didn't have a summer last year.. its someone elses turn. I dont think we had 2 days in a row where it didn't rain or hit 80 the only time we saw 90 is 3 days in April. :confused3

Oh I feel so sorry for you.. I'm so glad I'm not pregnant I went thru 3 full summers pregnant... I have one late June baby the others were late Aug and 2 October babies.. :scared:

HOT! for sure. It was 102 before but the temp gauge in our van said 103. This is in NY. Wow, I though I only saw those temps when we lived in Texas! Thank God for central air conditioning!

96 right now, a record broken in our area, and the humidity is high too.

I'm thankful though, about 1.5 miles out the road from me, people have been without electricity since before noon and no word on when it will be fixed. It messed up our internet for awhile, but that's it.

Right now it is 34 C, and with humidity it feels like 44 C. That translates to 111 F.

I just sent my son's soccer coach an email that DS would not be at practice tonight. It's just too friggin hot.

I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of the parents thought the same. I think if I were the coach, I'd offer ice cream! :cool1:

Let's see.. Current temp is 89 degrees - but the heat index is 102 degrees - with a dew point of 77 degrees.. So - basically there is "no" air outside that is breathable.. And yay - tomorrow is supposed to be worse!!!!!:eek: As long as the power doesn't go out, I'm good.. If it does, it's "all over" for me..:scared:

We've been dealing with this kind of stuff since Saturday morning and isn't supposed to break until at least Thursday - possibly Friday.. Needless to say, I haven't stepped foot out of my place and have been running my a/c at 60 degrees 24/7 (although it's only getting down to around 70 degrees at night in here and 75 degrees during the day)..

This is a 4th of July weekend that none of us will forget for a long, long time.. We had a ton of people up here from Friday until late last night and anyone who could spent pretty much all of their time in the lake - from early morning until dark..

Hoping this is just a fluke - and not what the rest of the summer is going to be like! :scared::scared::scared::scared:

103 here without the heat index. I went out this morning to run a couple of errands and almost died, lol. I have MS and while my symptoms have been better while pregnant, the heat absolutely kills me. Not to mention I have 20 extra pounds on me right now. I'm due any day now.. and can't wait to get some relief from this little space heater lol.
