Is it hard to get a 2 bedroom at BWV the week after Thanksgiving?

Is it especially difficult to get a 2 bedroom villa the week after Thanksgiving at BWV? or the first two weeks in Dec.? Any thoughts on this time period?

That is the most difficult time of all to get reservations. This is the time of year that the eleven month window is most important. You have to call day by day to even dream of getting a std view at BWV during this time of year. Even OKW fills up completely pretty early.

The week after Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to go. Weather is great, crowds smaller, and Christmas Decorations are up.
BUT as Richyams said, it can be a very difficult time to get reservations. For the last two years we have reserved a two-bedroom at OKW for this time period at the 11-month window.
Both years we waitlisted for a 2-bedroom at BWV right at the 7-month window and didn't get it either time. Of course we love OKW, so we weren't disappointed, just thought it would be fun to go to BWV for a change. If you're thinking about going this year, I would call now and get whatever reservations are available and then waitlist if you really want to try for BWV.
If you're thinking of going next year, I would definitely folllow Richyams advice and call at 11 months day by day.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm a "renter" (not a DVC member), so I'm not sure how the "rent a day at a time" thing would work out.


I of course would love BWV because I might have my mother and her friend along (seniors in their 70's) - would OKW be a hassle for them?

You can possibly rent a 2BR at BWV directly thru CRO (and you won't need to call day-by-day).

I think you'd be fine at OKW also. The buses are pretty efficient if you won't have a car. Just request a ground floor room if you have some in your group with difficulty climbing stairs.
