It really depends on the rider. The only one I would say put something in your stomach for is Mission Space.

Everyone is different, but to me I don't like to ride on a totally empty stomach. Basically meaning I don't want to not eat anything and be hungry and get on a thrill ride. But for me if I go too long in the morning without eating my stomach will get a little queasy, so I wouldn't want to start out with a queasy stomach then get on a thrill ride. I rode Mission Space (before it had the green side) on an empty stomach and I came off that ride feeling bad and didn't feel better until I ate. But on the other hand, I wouldn't have wanted to have a full belly then went on MS.

Everybody is different, but I actually prefer to ride with an empty stomach. Less for me to worry about :rotfl:

Thanks guys. :thumbsup2

 I'm glad you guys brought up Mission Space as that was what worried me the most!
I guess we'll eat something light before we go on it!

When doing our trips at Disneyland, I've always ran to Space Mountain first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and always came out a tiny bit queasy... maybe I'm the type that needs something in my stomach!

For my dd to avoid motion sickness during any rides (not just attractions but also airplane, car or bus rides) she has to have something in her stomach. Nothing too heavy of course but I know from experience to make sure she eats something at least 30 minutes before.

It really does depend on the rider.

Often DH needs food on his stomach before riding certain rides, other times he does better with nothing.

Me, I do better about an hour or 2 after I eat.

I'll bet the people behind you would appreciate if you rode on an empty stomach. ;)

Its better than riding on a full stomach!

i can't handle complete empty but i don't like full either. somewhere in between works best for me.

It depends on the individual. I have no problem with a ride that goes to full invert whether it is just before a meal or right after one.

the best thing to eat before a ride like Mission space is a bannana and take a ginger pill...its what I do and I never have a problem with Mission space or EE or RnR and I get very motion sick

I don't think I've ever ridden on an empty stomach. I'm not much of a breakfast person in everyday life, but when we're in Disney, I eat a pretty big breakfast everyday. One thing I do know is not to go on one of the more intense rides right after a buffet....never done it but I know it might not feel so great hehe

As everyone said....depends on the individual. For me, I can go on an empty stomach or right after a meal and I'm fine either way.

There is a whole page in the Unofficial Guide devoted to this subject - what to eat or not before MS. An astronaut they spoke to suggested eating a normal meal 1-2 hours before riding and to avoid milk products and tomatoes. If you can't schedule your meal like that, he said a banana 45-60 minutes before riding is a great option and that an empty stomach is NOT the ideal condition to ride MS in.

It depends on the person.

However I do NOT recommend that you ride Big Thunder Mountain after eating 4 hot dogs, 2 things of fires, 2 sodas, a pretzel, and two ice creams.... Because when I went on grad night the kid in front of me in line was bragging about how he did & well lets just say that I bought a new t-shirt after sitting behind him on the ride. :(
