Is it Funny or Tastless?? (a prank)

Ok I think this prank is Tasteless but apparently I'm the only one..

DH owns a Heating & A/C Company.. One of his friend's who is a sub contractor for him, is just a tad too much.. I swear he has obsession compulisve behavior.. For a man with 6 kids, A wife and a dog, he is way too clean.. He also gets bent out of shape very easily.. He is your typical male drama queen..

DH tells me that him and some of the guys at work planned up a joke to play on this guy.. His wife is in on it by the way.. Somehow he is going to receive a package (in the mail) with a pair of fancy panties.. and not the nice lacey pretty kind, either, but I'm sure you can guess what kind.. and a note that says how wonderful he was and to keep them as a reminder of that night..

Like I said his wife is in on it.. While we are all there, She is going to open the package and is suppose to freak and flip out over the contents, in front of us..

Anyway... now is this Tastless or am I over reacting and is it really.. funny?

not that i'm aware of...

the wife is in on it As it was planned and the guys called her to tell her so she really doesn't flip out for real.. so she knows it is a joke..

I think it is tastless and I would never go along with it.. they just say he is so overly dramatic about everything they want to try and break him to stop taking everything so serious..

The only TASTELESS thing here is that ANYONE would think a prank like that is funny! It sounds MEAN and ridiculous, and how on earth would that make the man take anything LESS seriously? If anything, I think it would teach him not to trust his supposed "friends" any more and take things MORE seriously.

I was actually thinking about it... I have been friend's with him since High School... Yes he is too much.. But this to me is tasteless and I was thinking about telling him, however, my DH is in on it and I don't really want to start anything between DH and myself... so if I have to bit my tongue I will

That's exactly where my mind was going. Hopefully he's behaved himself in his marriage, but if not, it would be a horrible way to find out. And if he has not done anything like that, in my opinion it mocks the faithfulness of marriage.

Beth, that could be funny! Of course that could backfire, too, if anyone believes that they even possibly could have feelings for each other. If they pulled it off right, though... It would show that he's not so serious abouot everything.

I love comedy, all kinds but this is mean-spirited. Now if his wife wasn't included then it would OK, just the guys ripping on him in private.

Tasteless, not funny at all. My first reaction also was that she is using the group to see his reaction and to test to see if he is cheating on her.
