Is it easy to get on the rides at MK during the parades and Wishes?

We were thinking of doing two consecutive days at MK. One day we would catch the parades and Wishes, and the other day we would try to get in some of the rides while everyone else was watching the parades and Wishes. Assuming that the parades/Wishes run everyday during late-April, do you think we will have short lines at the rides using this strategy?

Can't tell you about Wishes because I couldn't miss it, even twice in a row, but I can tell you regarding the parade. My kids didn't want to see it on our last trip, so we didn't plan for it. We were in line for Splash Mountain about 2:30 - long line for the time of year we were there (already had a FP for Thunder Mountain), so we had to brave the 30 minute line. When we got off the ride, the parade had started, and the line had disappeared. We walked right back on the ride, only a handful of people in front of us.

Generally, yes, but be aware that there are a couple of rides in Fantasyland that don't run during Wishes, because a big chunk of Fantasyland is roped of for fire safety reasons.

We went in September and my DD rode Space Mountain back to back during Wishes.

The only issue I have run into is getting from one side of the park to the other, while the parade is in process.

It can be easier but remember, a lot of people have the same plan and there will still be lines. You'll also have a hard time getting from land to land during the parades, so you might want to pick a land to focus on during that time.

The lines are a bit shorter during the afternoon parade. But the lines are much shorter during Wishes.
