Is it difficult to put deposit on different hotel?

I may need to change some things around, and I need to know how hard it is, or not at all, to cancel one reservation and use the deposit already sent to be put on another reservation. Thank you for any advice and suggestions!

It shouldn't be any problem at all...I just did this myself last night...just be prepared to wait on the phone for a few minutes while the CM does the transaction...it did take a good bit of time...
