We are planning on staying at the poly for our 1st disney family vacation in dec. but I have heard so many wonderful things about WL. Is it crazy to switch mid week to the other resort???? I don't know what to do?!?

It is not crazy at all!! Both are beautiful resorts! They are both my favorites!! You will LOVE WL, especially during the Holiday! That is a perfect split! I should try that sometime!

We just did this exact split last month. We LOVED both resorts and were glad we stayed at each of them :sunny:

I have pictures of both resorts on my web site, the link is below in my signature :)

We did both last October, due to rates. Booked WL for the first of the week, cheap, under $200 a night CY. For the weekend there were no code rooms, it was going to go to almost $300 a night. Got a code room at the Poly for $239, so we split the stay. It's not bad, just a little frantic the moving day.

Not crazy at all! Those are my two favorite resorts, so every trip usually has at least a couple of days at each. Since Disney will transfer your luggage for you, its super easy, too! Have a great trip!

No, not at all. We were going to do this exact split but decided to do the dining and downgraded to a moderate that was before the free dining came out. But we pounced on that and now I wish we would've gone deluxe but DH said we've done enough rearranging and I for once agree.

Not crazy at all! We love doing split stays. We usually stay on the monorail for part of our stay and concentrate on MK. Then we move to the BCVs and concentrate on MGM and Epcot. This way we get easy transportation everywhere!

Yes, that's what I was going to say.

We did AKL then the Poly. I didn't like the split and found myself missing the AKL just as I was getting settled in. You never know though, some people enjoy splits so I suggest you try.

I used to think that I wouldn't want to do a split stay, but August 2006 will be our first try at it. I really wanted to stay at YC but couldn't justify 10 days at rack rate (since I doubt there will be discounts), so we are staying 5 nights CSR and 5 nights YC. We can't wait... I think it's a great way to try a resort you've wanted to try, but didn't want to put out lots of $$.
