...or stick with our MYW package?

Can anyone tell me what the ticket price is if we redeem our vouchers and add 4 days on? Adult and child.. Right now, I have the MYW package booked with 5 day tickets, but am wondering if it is better to go room only and get our tickets this way. I have not booked the dining plan yet and don't know if I will-so that is not something I am factoring into this question.

A 5-day MYW ticket without hopping, WPFM or no expiration is $228 plus tax for adults and $195 plus tax for kids. You will get a credit of $79 for adults and $68 for kids if you upgrade your GAD vouchers. Tax is 6.5% applied on the difference - so an adult ticket would be about $160 out of pocket and about $135 for each child's ticket.

A few other things to consider:

If you decide to book the dining plan, you'd have to add at least a one day ticket per person (which doesn't expire and can be saved and upgraded on a later trip).

Some promotions may only be available for packages - if you have a discounted room, check to see if you can get a similar discount room-only if you cancel the package. Some, like the gift card promotion, require tickets of a certain length. If you cancel a package with a discounted room but can't get a similar discount room-only, you're not saving as much as you might like.

Room only reservations require a one-night's deposit with the rest paid at check-in, instead of a $200 deposit with the rest paid at 45 days out.

Cancellation policies are more lenient for room-only - you can cancel 6 days in advance with no penalty.

A package can't be converted to room-only - you have to cancel the package and book the room. Check to be sure the room you want at the resort you want is available before you give up your package.

For us we booked a room only ressie with a 45% discount and did the GAD and will use the vouchers to upgrade to an 8 day pass. That saves our family of 5 ticketholders $400 We felt this was our best option
