Is it better to have more trips or to visit sparingly?

I love Disney World. Getting enough time off work and the costs keep me from going more often now. If I lived in Florida, I would def go more frequently.

YMMV, but I was in Epcot nearly every day of my recent 9 day trip, and I still didn't do everything I wanted. I totally missed the Living Seas and Test Track.:scared1:

I can spend hours just walking around that place. Between the entertainment, scenery, snacks and beverages, it's my happy place.

We don't go very often to WDW, but we do go to Disneyland in California when visiting family. The boys have been to Disneyland 4 or 5 times in their lives, and have been to WDW only once. We are going again this February, three years after the first time. We travel other places in addition to Disney, and I like the long breaks as there is always something new to see. Frozen Ever After, Soarin' Over the World, Pandora, Rivers of Light, the storm trooper parades and Star Wars fireworks show, etc. are all new for us on this trip.

On the "off years" we travel to other places. We took a zodiac and saw wild belugas in Tadoussac, camped in a treehouse in Quebec, rode class V rapids in the New River Gorge, traveled to Puerto Rico and took a cruise to several southern Caribbean islands.. so we enjoy traveling in general and incorporate a Disney trip every few years or so.

It depends on where you live, how much vacation time you have, and your budget.

Living up north, it cost a small fortune to go to Disney, so it was not an option to go all the time unless we did nothing else. With many other things we like to do, Disney was infrequent.

Now we live in Florida, have cheap annual passes and discounts, under two hours drive so no real transportation expenses. We are also retired, so vacation time is not an issue and we can go all the time. We still have time and money to do cruises, camping, and other adventures we want to enjoy.

We normally alternate between Orlando one year and California/Disneyland Resort the next. That way, there is always something new at either resort by the time we get back there. And usually something new at Universal, too. The last time we went to Orlando was actually in 2014. So this year (leaving in two weeks!), as mentioned two posts above, there will be lots of new goodies, including Pandora and the new Star Wars stuff at DHS. At Universal, Kong, Jimmy Fallon and the Raptor Encounter will be new to us. Hard to get jaded and tired of the same old thing.

Just want to add: for those of you who go to Orlando year and year, if you haven't been to Disneyland Resort, you really should! There are a lot of attractions there which aren't available at WDW, and there is no sign that they will be cloned anytime soon (Cars Land, World of Color, the Indiana Jones ride, Matterhorn, etc.). Also different versions of Pirates, the "mountains", and they still have Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. In fact, Fantasyland as a whole is very different. And they still have Toon Town, with a good Roger Rabbit ride.

It's also a more relaxed experience, with far less intensive planning required, and the parks are right next to each other.
