My mother is not sure if she can come down yet and for how long..she will only know when it is real close

SO when I call for the reservations tomorrow for Oct...should I include her and if she can't come subtract her later...or assume now she wont and if she can..add her on later!?!?!

thanks

Yes, it is so much easier to seat one less person than one more.

All restaurants are basically set up in 2's - 2-top, 4-top, 6-top, etc.

If you booked for 4, you would be reserved for a four top. If you came in with 5, you would have to wait for a six top to become available.

However, if you were booked as 5 and reserved for a six top, and then showed up with only 4 - they could divide the tables, and seat you at the 4-top and then seat another party at a two-top right next to you.

so it will be my 2 kids, my DH & I, and my father definitely and my mom a maybe

So i will book those poss days as 6 and later (crossing my fingers I wont have to) tell them it will only be 5..correct!! I hope I dont lose any of the reservations bec of this!!!:headache:

Unless you are booking meals that requirement prepayment or a credit card hold, I would leave them at 6 even if 5 only end up going. You are going to be seated at a 6 top table no matter.
