I know you can ship things to your hotel, is it better to do that or order groceries on like to have delivered? Obviously we wouldn't ship perishables.

Also, how do you order it online? What site?

If you are talking about bottled water, cereal, pop tars, etc...I should ship it.

The supermarket website is www.gardengrocer.com. The prices are a little higher than you would pay normally(at least for my neck of the woods). Delivery/shipping is 12.00 flat rate. So you could do the math. You can pick a set delivery date/time when you place the order. I will probably ship to myself, a little cheaper and you can pick exactly the items you want. I'll just have to deal with buying DD2 milk when I get there.

If you go to the food section on Amazon.com you can use free super saver shipping on orders over $25

There are 3 local ways to get groceries delivered. Since these are from local stores, it can include perishables and cold items. You can't get milk or yogurt or fruit or cold stuff from amazon.com.

There is one local store that delivers: Gooding's (www.goodings.com). Expensive, but great service. You don't even need to schedule the delivery. They deliver to your resort's Bell Services, and then Bell Services delivers to you. BS calls to see if you're in. If you're not, they leave a message for you, and they store your groceries for you, even keeping the cold stuff cold and fresh for you.

There are two delivery services that will shop at any local store you want them to shop at: Garden Grocer (www.gardengrocer.com) and WeGoShop (www.wegoshop.com). You can arrange with Garden Grocer to deliver like Gooding's delivers (but you don't have to do it that way), but WeGoShop has to deliver to you, as far as I know. I've never dealt with WeGoShop, but I've spoken with the Orlando-area Garden Grocer franchise owner, Brian, who seems to be a very very nice, dedicated, smart guy who I'm sure provides outstanding service.

Gooding's can't deliver alcohol, the other 2 can.

I used Gooding's twice, and was completely satisfied each time.

No need to waste time and money on cab rides or on Disney's outrageous grocery prices.

I highly recommend GardenGrocer. We have used them before, and we were very pleased. For us, the prices were very comparable to what we pay where we live. Something that impressed me was that some of the items we ordered came in larger sizes, because the store was out of the sizes we ordered, so as opposed to sending a couple of smaller items that would equal the size ordered, they brought the larger size at no extra charge, which I thought was really impressive. (this was the case for the Coke and the chocolate milk that we ordered).

They delivered right to our resort room, and they took really great care with the items ... milk, lunch meat, and other refrigerated items were brought in coolers, and the other items in crates that prevented crushing of bread and things like that.

Once, I had to cancel very short-notice (ds came down with a bug and we had to cancel the trip) and we received a refund very quickly.

We will certainly be using them again in the future :)
