Is ir possible to do it all??!!!

Calling all MVMCP veterans!
I just checked out the thread concerning last year's party, and this is my question: Is it possible , if you have eaten before the party, and don't plan on riding any of the rides, to see ALL the shows, special programs, the first parade, fireworks, AND get your photo taken, AND stand around and enjoy the snow falling, all before around 11 pm??? Also, does anyone know when this year's schedule will come out? And does anyone want to share a plan to see it all?
Am I obsessed or what?! This is my first trip to WDW and I am so afaid I am going to miss something! (I think I need to go drink some chamomile tea!) Thanks so much for your help!!

I can't answer your question, but I can tell you what I did when I worried the same thing! I bought tickets for another night so now we're going to TWO Mvmcps! That should take care of doing everything, I hope!

While you MAY be able to do all of the shows, It will be very hard to. There is so much going on it's just better to go twice to do it all or just pick and chose the shows that you are most interested in. The show schedules make this hard.

I would pick the shows you are most interested in and make them a priority, then have time to see secondary shows as time allows. Crowds will also determine how much you can accomplish, e.g. if you have to stand in line for your picture or have no lines or if you are choosey about your seating in the various shows. When I tour I do not mind sitting in the back so I can arrive at shows latter then most of the guests.

Last year we did two MVMCP's. We saw a few of the shows, enjoyed the parade, got out picture taken, watched the snow, and got some great photos with the characters one night. The other night we rode almost everything they had open at least once, got our picture taken, watched the snow, and got some great photos with the characters. Two vastly different nights in terms of activitites and crowd levels. Both were magical and I wouldn't trade either of the experiences for anything. Maggie

May take you a little past 11:00 though.We have attended MVMCP at least once a year and most times twice a year since 1992.One night we do all the live shows and parade on second night we do the attractions.You can enter MK for MVMCP after 4:00 pm on MVMCP ticket alone and not have to use a day off your park pass.I would advise you to do this and get your MVMCP Guide and map out your plan for the evening.Que up to photo station early or late to avoid long ques.Also if you will do a search on this forum for Ray Sharpton's post on MVMCP it has last years MVMCP Guide that includes all show times,attractions that are open,photo locations and free cookie and hot chocolate stations.

It looks like I may have to purchase admission for two nights - my parents are going with us, and I don't want them to be so tired with us dragging them from one event to another, especially after a long day in the park! Have never been so I don't know if this is doable but here's what I'm going to be trying on 12/5!
4:25- Dinner at LTT
6:15- Mickeys Night Before Christmas,Tomorrowland
7:00- Celebrate the Season, Castle Stage
7:30- Family Pic, Location TBD
8:15- Parade
8:55- Santas Snowflake Special, Fantasyland
9:15- Wishes Fireworks
9:30- Belles Enchanted Christmas, Fantasyland
Not really planning on doing any rides as we have 2 days at MK so any time we have an available minute we'll grab some cocoa and cookies and soak up the atmosphere on Main Street. So MVMCP vets, what do you think of my somewhat ambitious plan?

I think you may not be giving yourself enough time to get from point A to B. I think crowd patterns and exiting shows and getting to next que may prevent you from staying on schedule.Plus it would require some serious rushing which I feel will distract from your MVMCP experience.Plus I would que for family photo first thing while everyone is spiffy and well rested and your wait will be short.I hope you will not be angry with me for sorta raining on your plans.I just want want you to be flexible enough if you fall behind on schedule skip ahead a step or two and go to later show.We've been to MVMCP over 25 times and at least once a year since 1992.Going on 7th and 9th this year and can hardly wait.You will have a great holiday experience and magical memories for a lifetime of your first MVMCP.Just take your time and enjoy all of what MVMCP has to offer and hey if you miss a little something you can always catch it at next year's MVMCP,right.

I had to laugh when I got to the part where you said you hope I'm not angry for raining on my plans becuse that's exactly what I was thinking! I definitely agree we should try to take the pic earlier and the part about getting from point A to B will most likely be a problem 'cause we're taking my very slow moving 83 year old grandma and our 3 small daughters! What was I thinking?!?!

We're planning on going on the 5th too, and as stated earlier, we'll have my parents with us (and OUR three daughters!), so we may not be zipping around either! I do plan on getting the pic done first, otherwise I'm not sure I'll be able to leave the shows, parades, etc. to stand in line for the photo. I'm willing to try your plan, but if the budget allows, I may decide to puchase a second set of tickets. Good luck and maybe we'll see each other!

LOL! You sound an awful lot like me! I'm already wearing myself out on this trip, and we haven't even left yet! LOL I'm the type of person who wants to do it all, or at least, as much as we can. There's no room for downtime. This plan would be fine if it were just me going... but, as it is, I'm going with DH and the girls, who I'm sure will not have my same outlook on things. So, I have to bite the bullet and try not to overdo it for us all. I'm sure that DH will want to take many breaks along the way. So I've decided that instead of trying to do all the rides at MVMCP, we'll try to do more of the festive activities... shows, parades, characters, etc... wish us luck! We're going on 12/7. Wish we could add another night!

Hollyjoy - ME too!!! I feel like Chevy Chase in European Vacation! "You have to be at the fountain at 2:15, at 2:30 you have to be across town at the statue...." I tend to be a micro planner, much to the chagrine of my DH! I drive myself and everyone around me CRAZY!
Something I heard not too long ago is helping me to relax. Don't rush around trying to make memories for your children! When it's all said and done, they may or may not remember the activity you planned or participated in, but they WILL remember YOU. The special activity is not the memory - you are.
Our children are our greatest blessing! (p.s Your girls are adorable!)

I'm glad you like my schedule! Where are you having dinner? How old are your DD's? Mine are 3, 5 and 7! Hoping they'll take a giant nap before we head to the party!!! Let's hope for no crowds and short lines!!!

I know what you mean!! I always need a vacation after a Disney Vacation!! Have you ever tried the Disney Cruise? I was finally able to RELAX when we took the 7 day Eastern in March!

Thanks for not being mad,if I had to choose to skip something my first choice would be Belles Enchanted Christmas,second would be would be Santa's Snowflake Special.Both are good shows but the others are the one's I would see first.You and family have a great evening the looks on your little ones faces I would love to see that, this party is for and all of us are that are just big kids,including grandma.

Hi. I've been wondering what the Belle's Enchanted Christmas show was and what the Snowflake Special is? Since it was recommended that these two be skipped to allow for other things, it had me wonder even more. I'm sure they're still good, but are they just not as exciting, or what? Hi Jena!
We're unsure about dinner - we have ps' for CP and CRT, but we are undecided at this point. Any advice would be appreciated! I know one is a buffet, one isn't; one has characters, one doesn't: one may be a bit more noisy than the other, etc. We would love to see Pooh, but there have been a few reviews of CP lately that have been less than favorable. Do either decorate for Christmas, or have a more festive atmosphere that would get us ready to celebrate at the party? Oh, the girls are 4, 8, & 9 (soon to be 5, 8 & 10 - birthdays at Disney!!)
I am so excited about this trip, but I'm wondering if there is a support group for recent returnees?! I don't know what Im going to do with myself when I get back!!!!

I would LOVE to do MVMCP 2 nights, but I'll never talk DH into that one, I don't think! (Though maybe I'll try again after the first night, if Dec 2 or 3 isn't sold out).

I think it would really help to get an idea of how long each show lasts. If anyone had that information, I'd be really grateful.
