We have 3 kids; 7, 5, & 2.5. We would like to try HOB in Downtown Disney for dinner, but wanted to know if it is kid-friendly. HOB and Ragland Road appear to be the only places still available for reservations for the date I am looking for.

It is not catered to kids I live in Dallas texas and I go to hob alot food is great waitstaff is super friendly food is excellent prices are little high 13 with tax for a pizza which I love! And up from there go give it a try!

When someone talks of kid friendly, I think it depends a lot on the ages of your kids as well as how often and where you usually eat out. I commented recently that I thought most Disney restaurants are kid friendly (can't remember the term I used) and was corrected on that point. On reflection, the other poster was right. My 8 year old DD is an only child and is used to sitting and having a conversation over dinner with me so in my mind I would be happy to take her most, not all, but most places if the menu appealed. However it does depend on how your kids are in a restuarant. I have always had an activity pack for her which goes with. You won't have kids entertainment there, but if your children happily sit through a meal with you, you should be fine.

A lot also depends on how long you are in the restaurant. I would still not take my DD to a place where the anticipated dining time averages more than an hour or so.

The only restaurants that I think are catered is mk,ak,dhs and trex cafe and rain forest cage which are super kid friendly and planet Hollywood which also is the only restaurant that offers a ddp the others don't at al which is weird I think!!

Not done HOB but Raglan Road was great for our nearly 4 year old.

We ate early - 4.30 so it was quiet. Colouring things were given to DD, waitress was really sweet with her. Food was good for children - DD's fish and chips was just a smaller version of the adults and the ice cream came in a cocktail glass.

It was a must do for our forthcoming Oct trip. we are also going to try HOB. Have you seen the restaurant.com coupons for HOB?

I think that term was "geared for children."

That probably fits more closely things like character meals or Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex, where the restaurant, entertainment or menu is designed with children in mind.

"Kid-friendly" is generally would it be appropriate to bring children to the restaurant; would you get the hairy eyeball from the staff or the patrons if you were to walk in there with a bunch of kids; is there a kids' menu, with food children generally enjoy; that sort of thing.

Have seen loads of children at House of Blues, usually early. Some have said that if there is a concert scheduled, there could be a different crowd present than families, depending on the performer. Other than that, it's probably fine for children, although it does not go out of its way to be a restaurant FOR children.

There's very few restaurants at WDW that are not "kid friendly" (Victoria & Albert's bans all children under 10, so it's in a class by itself; in the "not kid friendly" category is probably Shula's and Bistro de Paris, for example) although there are a number of restaurants that are not geared for children.
