Is Hoop De Doo Review included on the dining plan? We have free dining in November staying at Polynesian, so the regular dining plan. I'm about too reserve Hddr seats but it is expensive! Does it not accept the dining plan? I thought it might require using 2 credits.

They do accept the dining plan, and it is two credits. I believe you can only reserve category 2 unless you are booking the last who, then you can book category 1.

It's best to call when reserving for the dining plan and it is easy. We went with Category 2 for the 2nd show, and we had outside seats on the floor section which was considered Category2. I think they
may assign based on how early you call. We loved it and still had interaction with cast but out of the main spotlight so it was perfect.

I also suggest calling when reserving a dinner show on the DDP. Just removes all pilot error.

I'm curious as to what problems you have encountered that you would recommend calling to reserve Hoop-Dee-Doo rather than booking myself? I booked this in March for our September trip and found it easy to do. My confirmation on MDE looks exactly as I would expect it to listing the date, time, category, etc. Could this information be incorrect? Just concerned since both of you recommended calling. I've always booked all our dining reservations online but I will admit this was my first booking of Hoop-Dee-Doo.

Thanks!

Ooh I'm just recalling a thread where someone booked cat 1 6:15 with a credit card then was irritated when FD came and they couldn't get cat 1 6:15 on the DDP.

It should be fine. :) Actually, I had more issue when I booked it via phone for 11/2014...it never appeared on MDE and said the confirmation number didn't exist when I tried to link it. PANICKED phone call but the CM pulled it up right away and we got seated right up front...so it ended well, thank goodness.

Thank you all for your replies. Once I chose category 3 seats, (category 2 weren't available) it was fairly clear how to do it without actually charging the credit card. Cat 1 was throwing me off. Thank you!

I just said the phone because it was so easy and then I didn't have to worry about the whole credit card issue since I had the DP and wanted to make sure I didn't have to use one. Sometimes people think booking things is hard online when actually it is quite easy. Sometimes you can ask questions you can't normally do when booking yourself, and they can tell you things. I do book all of my other ADR's online, and change around, etc.,

As long as you book the eligible show with the DDP, you can book online and select guarantee by dining plan. We booked Cat 1 for the 8:30 show online at 180 days as we wanted Cat 1 and can eat a late dinner. I think if you try to book a Cat 1 show for the earlier show times, the site will only let you prepay with a CC since DDP isn't eligible for that seating.

It states that you get Cat 2 or 3 for the earlier shows and can get Cat 1 for the 8:30 pm show on the DDP and that it is 2 TS. We always go for the 8:30 pm show for the Cat 1 seating. This is our favorite dining show on property even though our last experience wasn't too magical. We are going back this September after taking 2014 off to try other restaurants around the world. :)
