Is Hollywood Studios now a 2 day park? + Rate my plans

Is Hollywood Studios now a 2-day park to do most rides, Fantasmic, parades and non-disney jr shows ?

Early August might still have summer crowds (although who knows with this year!), and it will be really toasty, which could play into how much you're able to accomplish. I'm not sure if you like to meet characters or see shows, but those can eat up a lot of time, so I would prioritize across rides, shows, and characters (and maybe eating/snacking). Note RnRC does have a single rider line, but it can sometimes be as long a wait as the regular standby, and TOT will generally not call for single riders until just before boarding the elevator. If you're getting MB+, my preferred "stop and smell the roses" activity is bounty hunting on Batuu, and we would just waste time that way in between waiting for LL return times in GE and TSL. Personally, I always recommend use G+ in HS; it helps keep it a 1-day park. If there are two performances for Fantasmic!, I recommend sticking around for the later one because it will be way less crowded.
My boys will love the bounty hunting in Batuu. Did not know about that until just now. Thank you!

Our trip almost falls exactly on your dates. We arrive 08/03 and leave on 08/12. We are only planning on DHS for one day so our boys can experience Galaxy's Edge and build droids to take home. We will plan to visit Toy Story Land and we have a ADR for lunch at Sci-Fi. Our oldest son is eligible for DAS, so we will not need Genie+. But with our boys ages, we are more inclined to visit MK multiple times, go slow, and take plenty of breaks from the parks to swim.
that's exciting! I hope you children make memories that last a lifetime.

That makes sense especially with children. We are DINKs (Double Income No Kids) so we most likely won't lounge around the pools for too long especially since we are staying at All Stars.

Does Genie Plus require you to book morning of or can you book it before hand?
You can book your first LL as early as 7am. You book your next once you use it or 2 hours after park opens. There is a thread that explains all the details, but I don't know how to link it.

For the record, we usually don't enter HS until lunch time or later so I book SD @7 (or a little later since I actually prefer an evening time), then 2 hours after park open I get MFSR or MMRR, then 4 hours after park open I get whichever of those I didn't get before. Once we get to the park I'll get some easy close-in ones and mix those in with farther out ones so we just spend the afternoon rolling through our LLs. If we start at another park sometimes I'll use my 2nd or 3rd pick for a ride in the park we're in, but that has not hampered my ability to get everything at Studios.

Thanks for the advice. I'll ask my husband about if he be interested in Bounty hunting. I think we will be ordering magic bands. We will definitely go to the later one if we can. Although, I wonder would it better to go to the early on and then hop on rides during the later one. I wonder would the lines be shorter.
I think the lines thing can be hit or miss. You'd be best to check thrill-data and the Here Now thread on disboards in the weeks leading up to your trip. I also have a Touring Plans subscription and will check that periodically in the days and weeks leading up to my trip, so in your case you can check DHS wait times during the second showing of Fantasmic! if it's performed that way etc.

Also, since you're touring without kids, I highly recommend a night out at Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk! You can always take an uber back to All Stars, assuming it will be a late night. And, for dining, lounges are your friend. Nomad in DAK, Hollywood Brown Derby lounge in DHS, and Enchanted Rose at GF are among my favorites. Just confirm operation times in MDE.
