Is gratuity automatically added to your bill?

We will be a party of 9 and some will be on the dining plan while some will not. How is gratuity handed? Will it be automatically added to each of our bills regardless if we are on the dining plan or not? Only added to the bills if paying oop? Or do we determine how much we will leave as a tip?

It will be automatically added to each of your bills. Including those that are paid with dining credits.
