True but I don't even want to see advertisements for it.

You know, now that you mention it, I dislike all those CSI shows and I hate having to watch the commercials while I'm watching the good stuff, like Glee. Can we start a petition or something to cancel all those shows? And don't tell me to cover my eyes and ears, 'cuz I've tried that and it didn't work.

Have one but I still watch Fox live every once in a while and will see a "Glee" ad. Sends my body into convulsions!!

You should see a doctor about that. If a television show is causing you physical distress, there are therapies out there that can help. You aren't the first you know. There was a woman who had seizures caused by the sound of Mary Hart's (from Entertainment Tonight) voice.

Who watches ads anymore anyway? That is what DVRs and torrents are for pirate:.

Even if I watch something live I pause for the commercials and let a little time build up just so I can skip them.

I suggest trying it. I think Glee is garbage but I just choose not to watch it. It works pretty well for me.

Ain't that the truth brotha :thumbsup2

I did. The potential cure is in phase III trials at the moment so will have to wait a while. So I'd rather just get it off the air, or put it on Spike TV where it belongs.

SPIKE TV?? That's the last place I'd expect to find it. Isn't that the "man" channel?

You know what show I do dislike? The Walking Dead. As I said on your other thread, I've seen it done, and done much better, many many times before. The acting is stilted, the plot hackey and predictable. Oddly, those same qualities are what I love about True Blood. Go figure.

You still haven't said what it is you don't like about the show.

Well, you could shut off the TV entirely and read a book, go for a walk or generally do anything not in the domain of a couch potato:thumbsup2

If you want to have an actual discussion--what is it about Glee that you find so terrible that you cannot stomach even the ads?

Dancing and Singing on a television show, I despise it.

Well I'm at the gym for 2 hours every other night.. but then on the nights where I don't hit the gym, that's when I see the ads for "Gleeless." Not my cup of tea..

So have you ever actually watched an episode?

Yes I watched the very first episode and then I remember asking myself, "What just happened?" That's an hour of my life I'll never get back.

Mmm. that's how I felt after watching The Walking Dead (except it was two hours). There will never be a show that is universally liked. Someone, somewhere will always not like it.

Do you honestly think it is a fair expectation to think that you should like everything on TV (or on the channels you frequent)? It just seems odd to me to feel this way. Don't watch it, skip the commercials and if you still see the occasional 30 second spot it really shouldn't be more than a blip of minor annoyance on your day.

Oh, and I like singing and dancing on TV. I don't care for violent stuff or creepy stuff though. Just not my thing--plenty of others like it though--more power to them. Glee and some music videos on Sunday mornings are all I have have the TV on for anyway.
