I've read a lot of bad reviews on this place lately. We're planning on this being one of our Character meals, but I don't want to waste the credits on a place that isn't good. Has the quality of food declined recently to where it's not good?

yes its that bad. Its all you can eat? I didn't even want to eat what they brought and i usually eat everything. The characters are good (four of them, wait i think they did away with them) dont go for the food.

We went in Dec. and thought the food was good and the characters were great, spent alot of time with my kids. The food was better imo than most of the character dinner buffets were the food is comparable to Golden Corral and its is loud and crazy.

We ate there in Sept. 08 and everyone in my family liked the food and the characters were really great. We liked the food much better than CP.

Great characters, bad food! Although the place was a lot of fun when we went there for DD10's birthday, we will not be going back. Easily the worst meal we had during our 10day trip in August 'o8.

This was our favorite character meal. We thought the food was very good. Kids were thrilled that they didn't have to eat the kids plate and loved the make your own cupcake with toppings. This was by far the calmest and most relaxing character meal with great interaction. :thumbsup2

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL FOOD!!! Do yourself a favor and try another character meal.

I used to visit the parks 2 or 3 times a year and the Garden Grill is my FAVORITE Character Dining restaurant! Unless the food has changed, their Grilled Flank steak and Fried Catfish are both out of this world! I'm taking my girlfriend and kids this year and that's the first place I'll be making a reservation!

Let me start this by saying we aren't picky eaters and don't have high expections for dining.

We liked the character interaction very much at the Garden Grill but the food wasn't good. We won't be using another TS credit there (nor will be pay out of pocket).

This is a big deal as my son loves Chip and Dale and they aren't in any other character meal now. We're heading over to FW for the campfire to see them instead.

There are many great character meals. This really isn't one of them.

We ate there in Oct. and I thought the food was fine. Not great, but it's a character meal. I thought the salad was really fresh, the flank steak was great and the veggies on the side were wonderful. Not anything super special, but not awful either. The character interaction there is top-notch! Always a great time.

We ate there in October and the food was good and you were served . . . no filling your own plate in line. The character interaction was excellent. The service was super! It was a very relaxing, entertaining meal. Many photo oppertunities. Remember it is a character meal, not five star dining. We will return!

We ate there in 8/08 and thought the food was fine, but I didn't like the atmosphere. I expected it to be cool with the rotation through the Land boat ride, but it was dark and blah. We were 6 people and had to be seated in the inside ring of the restaurant. My seat faced a plain-looking wall.

I got very angry at our waitress too. I told her we were in a hurry to get to Illuminations and it took her forever and a day to get our check. We would up missing most of Illuminations. :sad1:

We ate there last March and we all thought the food was pretty good. We enjoyed it. The characters were awesome. We had loads of fun with them. We have an ADR for this trip coming up next month.

After days of nothing but chicken fingers, burgers and fries, it's nice to have some real food!

No, it's not five star, but it's a Disney character meal, you aren't there for the food...

It's like School Cafeteria food--we were so disappointed.
But some people like Cafeteria Food but we don't.

So it's about half & half. That doesn't make my decision any easier. I guess it just depends on being lucky?

We ate there in November and it was bad!!! Every year, we included it in our plans as we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was good. I don't know what happened! Hope it improves!!! :confused3

We have been twice both times we LOVED it. Esp DH who is picky about resturants. I read a ton of these bad reviews and almost cancelled but was so glad I didnt. Our server was very funny and the characters were great.

I have eaten at some resturants that I didnt enjoy but others here rave about.

Give it a chance it you want to.

we've eaten there a couple times in the past and the food was great. hope it hasn't taken a turn for the worse? I was looking forward to our ADR there in April
