Is frozen going away?

I just checked---it is posted through the end of September, but not for October.

I'd be surprised if it did disappear since its only a handful of months old but I also didn't expect the pre show special events to disappear with the 50th either.

If it does that would be a HUGE waste of money. All that time and money that went into special costumes and puppets and set design and what-have-you that goes into a production like this would seem like a waste if it only ran for such a short time.

I'd also say its too popular but so was TOT and that is going the way of the dodo so you never can tell I guess.

it is also saying that WOC Celebrate will be showing at CA when we have been told otherwise that the original is coming back after the 9/5 so clearly the released schedule has issues. I feel like the folks whose job it is to put out the schedule are really just phoning it in anymore.

I'm FB friends with someone in it (former student), and he said it's not going anywhere.

That might allow for a reduced schedule, though - perhaps they're waiting to gauge post-60th crowds before releasing a schedule for that reason? (That's my own hypothesis; not from the actor, to be clear).

I recall reading or hearing somewhere the meal/ pre show was planned only through the 60th celebration likely a test to see if it's worth continuing or before they bring back winter offerings. I highly doubt the show is going anywhere though as typically performers are contracted like this for longer periods.

There was a thread earlier about this. It's not going away, but the pre-show packages are ending along with the 60th celebration. So it's back to "get yer FPs before they're gone" after Labor Day.

I read about this earlier as well. That's our plan when we are there in a couple of weeks. Grab a Frozen FP and an RSR one!

They mentioned on the podcast that the pre-show package will be ending because they are going to bring back the Frozen holiday snow-themed area in the building they are using for the pre-show package.

Disney always plans to do things like this, they will adjust the show schedule to make sure that most showings are almost full if possible, so that means less shows a day, and maybe one or two dark days during the week, and of course, add shows during busy holiday periods. So if the locals want to keep seeing it over and over, there is a better chance of more shows per week.

And then Disney does rent out the Hyperion Theater a few times a year for Convention Center goers to hold concerts, the best known one is the NAMM show, which is the weekend of January 20th in 2017. This does shut down production for a few days to convert the stage and allow rehearsals. So you will have about a week off for the cast that week.

But unless it is a big flop, and it doesn't look like it will be like "Steps in Time" type of failure, then it will be around for years, or until they come up with a Marvel Themed live show ;)
