Is free dining better than any pin code

I booked us 7 nights this September in a 1 bedroom lake view at BLT with a bounce back offer of free dining. Is this the best deal I could possibly get ? I have been reading this board for awhile hoping to get some tips to get the best possible deal and it seems everyone is hoping for what I already got. Wouldn't a 45% off pin save me more than the free dining ? There will be three adults, 1 kid and 1 infant. By the way, I got my first pin code last week for the $68 per person value stay for 5 nights, so I called just to see what I could do with it and the CM said she believed free dining would be released to the public this year !

Free dining...

You're saving just over $110, $120 a day based on the body count you gave.

So yes, 40%-45% PIN or public offer would be bigger savings IF such an offer for September comes available.

Your free dining is costing you $137.96/day. (I'm a geek with a spreadsheet :lmao: )

If 40-45% off the room rate for BLT is BETTER than that per day, then the code is a much better deal for your family.

Free dining is almost always the best discount if you are staying value or moderate and if you have at least two or more kids. It's not always the best deal if you are staying deluxe. Usually the 40% off deluxe is a better discount than the free dining discount. I've never seen 45% off, but that would be even better.

anytime i see a free dining offer, i jump on it! for us, this is the best deal, it saves us $600 and i love the free dining! i hoping for this for our dec. trip. we got it last dec. with the disney visa offer!

We've done free dining 7 times. For us it is usually the best deal because we are a family of 4 "adults" (Disney adults anyway ... all over age 10). We typically stay value or mod for free dining. For us, the ddp would be like $168/day. I have yet to see a % off offer on a room that can beat that.

So free dining usually depends on your family make-up. Run the numbers for your specific situation and you'll know what to do.

In general, for a value or moderate, FD is a better deal.

I booked in Oct a bounceback for Sept/Oct (when I was staying at CSR) at a value but it included the basic dining plan (not the quick). That is great for us, since we are never at the room or the pool but at the parks.

But I just a got my first PIN, and it was for free dining at the same timeframe for a moderate or higher non-disconted package... Have to pass on it.

Keep your free dining, but do the math quick if you get a PIN...

Not to muddy the waters but doesn't it matter how many table svc meals you actually plan to have? For us, we are not big table svc folk...we prefer a quicker in and out. We do plan on a couple to four ts during our 10 days but I am thinking that our food budget will be closer to 100.00 since we're a snacking/cs family. Am I off?:confused3
