Should we plan to do the Fantasmic Dinner package for Tues. Dec. 7th?

  • Yes to FDP

We will be going to WDW in December. We are planning on doing Fantasmic December 7th which will be a Tuesday night.

Is it necessary to do the Fantasmic dinner package? Keep in mind that we will have our 2.5 yr. DD with us.

I am trying not to overplan this trip, but we definitely want to do Fantasmic and we would probably plan to eat at Mama Melrose anyway.

I have already decided to wing it on the CP, but was really wondering about the FDP.

I know that you guys will be great help...thanks in advance.

I am not picking either option in your poll, but will post my comments. I don't think that the FDP is "necessary" but wouldn't either agree that you should forgo it. I have been to Fantasmic during the 1st week of December before, and the theater was close to full. What I like about the FDP, even during slower periods at WDW, is that we can wait until more last minute to get to the theater, minimizing the time we spend waiting for the show to begin.

i have to agree with blanq the time not waiting we did the tot and saw some street preformers while we walk buy everyone standing in line for the show:teeth:

Thanks you guys. I think that I will go ahead and do the FDP. It will probably be better to minimize any waiting that my DD has to encounter. Also, since we wanted to try Mama Melrose's anyway, we may as well go ahead and do the package. That way we also don't have to worry about missing Fantasmic (unless it rains or something.)

With a 2.5 yo, yes.

I'm going (in 2 weeks!!!) in a very slow time of year & we're still doing the FDP just so we don't have to worry about staking out a seat.

We were shut out of Fantasmic twice last early December because we did not do the dinner package. Never did get to see it that trip...

Yes, get the package! Since you want to eat as well, it makes perfect sense to keep from standing in that loooong line. We did the package on Aug. 4, and I heard one guy complain to his wife "you think you'd get the front row or something for the price we paid for this!". As you know, you pay nothing extra....so, if you want to eat at Mama Melrose's anyway, there's no drawback at all. Yes the seats were a bit off to the side, but we could see the entire show, no problem. And it was fabulous!!
