I'm probably going to need some therapy after trying to figure out all of the "must see" things and planning for them  . I'm going for the first time with my 6yo son and mother-in-law in June. We are staying for 6 nights. I've only made one dinner reservation so far, have gotten a day plan as far as the parks go from TGM. We've made a list of the things we "HAVE to do or we'll die if we don't" ;) . I'm trying to decide if Fantasmic is one of those things. If it is, I'd like to do it the last night and end with a bang. I've made up my mind if we do go, I'm going to use the dinner package and go to the 900 show. I'd really appreciate any input and advice as my brain is completely shutting down! :headache: Thank you all!

PS My son has decided to ride the TOT first. I guess we'll see what he's made of early :teeth:

Yes! It's a great show, loaded with Disney magic.

IMHO it is the best show on WDW property. FOTLK is a close second.

Sometimes I have a hard time deciding between Illuminations and Fantasmic as the best single attraction at WDW. It's surely one of the two.

I agree. Oh and I have some advice for the dinner package. The reserved section fills up closer towards showtime while the rest of the theatre fills up quickly. So you can take your time getting to the show. Also, the reserved seats are at the right of the theatre.

Fantasmic was the only nighttime show we scheduled as a must see, and we LOVED IT! DD6, and DD10, plus us, my parents, etc. I would have liked to get to Illuminations, but my kids are not night people! I would definitely do it again.

Fantasmic is a must for us! :thumbsup2 Be sure to take a nap in the afternoon or your DS will be zonked by 9pm. Also, the crowds will be thick when you leave so stay close.

If you've never seen it before, yes, it's a must see.

After the first time, some people, as hard as it can be to believe for many of us around here, it is skippable.

Best show at WDW, IMO. The Unofficial Guide says it's worth the price of admission alone.

Fantasmic was great. The boys 4, 5, 6 and 10 really loved it. They were seated and it kept their attention. I would definitely go. Of course it started at 7:30pm when were were there. Our group was ready to go back by 8 or 9pm. That might be a factor too.

Advise on the TOT my 5 yr rode this 1st as he wanted to do it 1st too. After that ride he wasn't to thrilled with the dark. He was ok ONLY if he could hold my hand. He was a trouper. He rode everything he could within his height. Have fun. We're still trying to get over the BIG vacation. We got back Thursday.

I am going to be the voice of dissent! I liked Fantasmic well enough, but in my book it is not a "must see". I have seen it once in my 5 trips to WDW. Of course, the version at Disneyland is the one I saw first, and I had seen it several times, and it is SOOOOOO much better that the WDW version, that I think my expectations were a little high!! In my humble opinion, the DL version is a "must see", and the WDW version is ok, and we will see it only if time allows! Have a great trip!!! :wizard:

We always make sure to get Park Hoppers so we can see Fantasmic! as much as possible :)
