I tried searching and couldn't find this info, so if anyone knows I'd appreciate the help. princess:

Here you go:

As of September 2, you may use the Magic Your Way Dining Plan to purchase the Fantasmic! Dinner Package!

Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano both count as one Table Service meal for the Dining Plan, while the Brown Derby counts as a Signature experience, or two Table Service meals.

Regards

If you go with a TS ( Mama Melsroses or Hollywood & Vine) its 1
If you go with a SD (Hollywood Brown Derby) it counts as 2. Correct me if I'm wrong on this please. We ate at Hollywood and Vine in 2002 and didn't like it at all. But according to these boards now, it is getting good reviews, so we are going to try it again this trip. Maybe they have upgraded it since then. Willing to give it a shot.

My In-Laws did Hollywood and Vine last year and couldn't praise it highly enough!

What is an SD?

SD - Signature Restaurants & Dinner Shows
TS - Table Service Location
CS - Counter Service Location (sometimes QS - Quick Service Location) :wave2:

You need to stay onsite at a Disney hotel and book the Dining Plan as part of your package. You also need to book the package according to the number of nights you stay. Go back up to the Disney Restaurant forum and check out the 3rd posting from the top: Stick: FAQ about the Disney Dining Plan.

How do you get the package? Request it when you do ADRs?

Ok I probably should have been a little more specific. Yes I have used the DP and am very familiar with it... In fact I have posted a few comparisons of DDE vs DP. But I was not specific enough in my comment in this case.

I wanted to know HOW DO I SPECIFICALLY BOOK THE FANTASMIC PACKAGE using DP? I thought the Fantasmic Package cost more than a regular dinner. How does one request it using the DP? That is what I was looking for.

All you do is call and book one of the 3 restaurants participating in the Fantasmic package and then just mention you are on the dining plan. That's it.

Yup! I just called yesterday and booked Fantasmic package at H & V @ 6 p.m. in July! Woohoo! (Hope the weather cooperates and no cancellation!)

Thanks all! :thumbsup2
