Is "Elf" okay for young kids?

Hi everyone -- Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

I am hoping someone spent some time at the movies this weekend as well as the stores! Can anyone give me a quick review of "Elf" and if there are objectionable parts for a 4 year old to see? Thanks.

I think it would be a great movie to take a child that age to. A lot of action, cute scenery, etc. to keep them entertained...

We took our 5 year old and she really liked it.. only had to tell her a couple of times to sit down...lol It is a fun, cute silly movie....

We took our 4 year old son on Thanksgiving day. He is always great at the movies, but he was in one of his moods and kept saying he wanted to leave and did not like the movie. He did laugh a few times but not sure if it was because DH and I were laughing or he thought stuff was funny. He kind of reacted the same way with Home Alone when we watched it. We thought he would love it, but seemed ehhh about it

My husband and I really liked Elf, had some real funny parts and a good heartwarming story

We took the triplets (turning 6 in 2 weeks) to The Haunted Mansion movie yesterday and they liked it (even though Daniel sat on my lap and Jeffrey sat on my sisters!) They said they'd already seen Elf and they liked it. Daniel was impressed with the Elf's belching ability!

I took my 6 yr old DD to see it and we both loved it! Laughed thru the entire thing.
