Is Electric Light parade returning?

SQUEAL!!!! I am REALLY hoping this rumor comes true! This parade has been my favorite since I was just a little kid! Whenever I hear the soundtrack, I still get goosebumps and a little teary-eyed. This was my absolute favorite Disneyland experience as a child! I so want to see it again and have MY kids experience the magic that is the DEP!!

Since we are nearing FALL of 2012, this rumor has already proved to be false. Sorry!

Oh, I didn't see the 2012 date...think Hydro meant 2013?? fingers crossed!!

I really do hope that the Electrical Parade does eventually return to Disneyland. I saw it for the first time in 1978 when I was 3 and fell in love with it. We kept going back and I kept loving it (especially Elliot, Pete's Dragon was my favorite movie for YEARS). I hadn't visited DLR in a long time when we went in the summer of 2010 and I was so disappointed that I couldn't share one of my favorite parts of Disney with my kids. We went to WDW in February and watched the parade from the Liberty Tree Tavern, and it was lovely, but not the same as watching it on Main Street USA in DLR.

I know the folks who frequent WDW want their Spectromagic back, so they really should move my Electrical Parade back to its home. Not at DCA, but straight down Main Street USA in Walt's park.


(And yes, there was a regular parade during the day on the same days as the Electrical Parade back in the day. Since they run Soundsational twice I don't see why they couldn't cut one and add the best nighttime parade ever back to DLR.)

I have not heard any rumors about the EP returning to DLR since the 2010 rumors. It is still showing at WDW.
