I am interested. I am struggling with this news tbh. We are off site, but I LOVE being in the parks early and one of the first. Idk why this is bothering me so much! We never stayed on site before! But we always used that magic morning!

We won’t move onsite. We have 4 of our kids coming with us and would need 2 rooms, plus we need the extra space of a condo. But I’m disappointed because we definitely take advantage of getting to the parks early and I’m sure it will affect our mid/late August dates we already have booked and planned.

Wait, what??? I just went and looked-- they didn't actually announce a start day for this, did they? I'm going June 1-3 and just happen to be staying at GCH (only the third onsite in ?? trips) but if it's "later this summer" I don't suppose it'll be in effect yet.

No date given. I would also like to mention that Magic Morning is still very much on the website.

Can’t realistically afford on-site, so definitely not. Great for those who can though!

Just can't justify the price difference. Another $1000 seems to much for that early morning hour.

We won't generally... at 4x or more over another hotel on Harbor I just can't stomach it for how little we are in the room. I may some day if we want to stay at the hotel itself for some reason, but early entry won't factor much into it. Its a moot point for our September trip as we'll have our pup with us.

I ticked other as we are doing a split stay.
6 nights at other hotel then 2 nights at the end at Disney Hotel.

Onsite is not in my budget and realistically probably never will be. What Disney offer onsite guests has no impact on my trip, I'll just continue to do the parks my way.

We love to stay onsite, but we’ve also stayed offsite many times. I love our on-site stays, and yes, we used to love EMH. Even though I prefer to stay on-site (GCH), our offsite trips are always just as much fun. If it’s in your budget, or if it’s a bucket list item, or if you save up for it prior to the trip, I say go for it. There are also discount rates available, especially through Dapper Day or similar events. Plan a trip around those dates to save a lot of money. If it puts a strain on you financially or if you are giving up a lot of other fun items in your trip to make it work, than I don’t think it’s worth it. Keep in mind that EMH can also have rides down during that time, and it might not be as magical as you had hoped. EMH at DL has always been included in the 3 day park hoppers. If they continue with that, than there is no reason to stay on-site, if you’re MOSTLY doing it for EMH. Just my 2 cents.

We are staying at DLH. My DW is keen on spending our Disney vacation in the "bubble". We have never gone to DLR before, so for a first trip, it seems like a fun place to stay with all the history of the hotel and park. I do have to admit, I pushed hard for us to stay at the Westin because I felt we could get more bang for the buck.

But...happy wife-happy life! And, for me, the sun rises and sets with her.

We are going at the end of June and for us to switch to a comparable Disney one, it would need to be Disneyland or Grand Californian which would double the cost. I'm not willing to double the cost on the chance that *maybe* they might have it open an extra half an hour in the morning (There's no way they will give the west coast an hour if they give the east coast 30 min, it's gonna be the same). If I knew for CERTAIN it was going to be open that half an hour? I'd probably do it. But not on the gamble since they haven't given the firm date for the start of when they will give the perk. Future trips is a strong yes.
