Is Dueling Dragons more scary than Hulk?

Hi all.
On our last visit we plucked up courage to ride Hulk (we are not coaster fans) & loved it. I was terrified for the first 5 seconds after the launch, but then I opened my eyes & felt fantastic. It was the best ride thrill ever & made RnR at Disney seem tame.
I am over 6ft & so need to be strapped in well to feel safe..yes I know I'm a wuss! Hulk restraints were great in this regard.

However..I just could not muster the courage to ride DD.
However..on this years trip I have promised my son (a real coaster freak) that I will.
I've seen IOA Central's video of DD & it seems awsome, although it looks as if the riders feet dangle loose, which concerns me.

How is DD's ride different to Hulk?
Is it more scary?
Will I feel as safe as on Hulk?
What is your favorite between the two?
Should I do it?
Thanks guys :sunny:

I actually feel more secure on DD because my upper body feels more inclosed. As for intensity, I would say ice is a little more intense that hulk. fire is the most intense out of the 3.

You are held in the seats on DD in a shoulder harness similar to the Hulk. The biggest difference is on DD, the coster track is above you and your feet dangle. When I'm on the Hulk, it is my favorite. When I'm on DD,it's my favorite! Sit on the front row to get the full effect on DD. I go early when it's empty back there and ride the front rows over and over.

i feel the same way
hulk is good for its incredible launch similar to the mummy( difference is hulk has that 0-G roll)
then on DD fire it has an insane drop that u really feel in both the front and back row(front is my favorite for the view)

they are both really good and scare those who dont like roller coasters at about an equal rate
i have to say ice doesn't really put up a good fight between hulk and fire
it kinda seems less intense to me
its really just opinion i guess :teeth:

I think DD is scarier since you have more close encounters with the other coaster. Also your feet are dangling in the air. It's still a really good ride though.

I'd say test out the seats at the front of the ride. They have regular ones and special ones if you are bigger. I'm 6 feet tall and I have no problem fitting into the regular seat. The bigger ones are really for people with larger upper bodies. Anyway, I love this roller coaster. If you've done hulk you can most certainly handle it. My favorite place to ride is the back because you watch the people in front of you go round the bends and stuff. It's totally fun. Don't let your head wobble around the restraints do come up to your ears and you could bang them. (Extreme worst case scenario) Do it once, if you hate it you never have to do it again. If you love it you can go over and do the other side!

ok...ok...ok...ok...ok...ok
i didn't know
but if u did the hulk why not the dragons???????????
anyway have a good trip

I just could'nt bring myself to try DD, but when I was watching it in lost continent I thaught, it does'nt look too bad & so thought maybe I'll have a go next visit, which is this July!
